This is unimaginable depravity. What can possess men to take innocent children, drug them, brainwash them and strap bombs onto them? Even worse, what can possess men to do this to their own children?

The kinds of people this article mentions are not the ones that can be talked to.

I am not sure how one can describe people like the father and brother of Meena as anything but pure evil. They belong in the same category as Hitler and the Nazis who had no qualms about sending innocent men, women and children into gas chambers to be killed.

I have little doubt that people like Meena's father and brother would be sending people into gas chambers of their own if they ever got the power to do so.

The Taliban that can be talked to in Pakistan, IMO, have either already deserted the movement in the areas where ops have occurred, or will, and are surrendering.

Those that continue to fight despite the ops. are a lost cause.

Had you READ the article it would have been plain as day how Meena has suffered. Her family were taliban and sent a sister to die in Afghanistan while participating in the Peshawar Khyber market bombing, btw. Is there any question that the sword these beasts wield cuts both ways? Nevermind the student girls and teachers her brother had beaten.

This article was among the most horrifying that I've read. It drove home the reality of this way like few others save maybe Dexter Filkens about the poor young girl in Afghanistan attacked by taliban acid.

Thank God for sparing her.
