For an outsider's view when I see such pics:

A river of blood spilled in a house of Islam, by a follower of Islam, for a cause of better Islamic rule, and yet no one in the Islamic world is discussing a revision/reinterpretation of Islam for a better world.

Christianity has went over series of changes from being a terrorism sponsoring radical faith church to new liberal religion.

Them's Fight'in words - You are asking Pakistani Muslims be Conscious Muslims -- That requires a great deal of thought and discussion and above all, it requires Faith in God -- You seem to want them to give up thinking of Islam as a ideology of political power and empowerment - ain't gonna happen!

Fair enough - you say .

All Pakistanis do not go to school and yes, these people are "brain washed" but what are they brain washed with? Islam and the spirit of Jihad - would you disagree??

You say in Pakistani schools jihad is taught as patriotism - in other words, it is linked with the army - what you are failing to realize is that the people you call "terrorists" now, are the same people you call "Mujahids" when they turn their guns on the enemies of the army, Afghans and indians and such -- is this not so?

To your larger point that Pakistani schools do not turn out religious radicals, I would refer you to a study by Dr. Siddiqa on the current affairs board, I think - Dr. Siddiqa offers that religious radicalism in Pakistan is now so widespread among youth that it is a "pop culture" of Pakistan.

I understand the need you may feel to be defensive - I don't blame you, it's difficult for you to wrap your head around the reality that the Islamist insurgency in Pakistan is ISLAMIST - you like many others that thought of these as Mujahids when they were attacking Indians and Afghans but these people did not take kindly to Pakistan pulling on their leash and have turned on Pakistan and it is bewildering to you and so many others - therefore answers, no matter how absurd, are entertained, these islamists are really mossad agents, no they are RAW agents, No they are CIA agents - anything but what they really are - Mujahids that Pakistan army trained. I'm sorry if it's harsh for you, it's the truth and the sooner you accept it, the sooner you can effect corrections.

i can only counter your claims with statistical facts..
i.e you wont see any terrorist that became a terrorist because of school system..infact if our schooling system is applied every where most of terrorist will die out..
i will be really happy if you indicate that where from primary to higher education is terrorism taught in Pakistan..

Pakistan has official religion is Islam..like any other political issue this has been a issue too..currently some groups are using the terrorism as excuse to remove religion completely from text course ..

so you would not see any significant terrorism in areas where education is high (i.e same course which you think promotes terrroism) but you will see terrorism at peak in areas where education is low..

if we really want to stop terrorism..we have to educate people in FATA and Baluchistan which even today is neglected plus we have to find a political solution to Afghanistan issue..as most of terrorist are acting from there.

a clever person will know that blood is not split in the name of islam its really a issue of politics in aghnistan

in short govt has to
1. finish all special areas and bring them into system(which it is not doing)
2. make sure that 100 percent enrollement is acheived
3.try to find the terrorism cells that are catching children and using them for such purposes

even though govt has been doing really nothing, neither supporting the tribal peoples..terrorist are on back foot, occasionally catching boy and blowing him up is not possible to stop unless you get the leaders(which are in FATA and afg) or find a plotical solution..
you can see examples from all over the world..


blaming education system is simply a political group trying to get its own agenda from current situation..its ignoring facts and statistics which clearly points..thats the issue is not educating people with current syllabus ..its NOT educating people with current syllabus the issue.

and our current system didnt made us thought them to be mujahid..infact our current system text books (of pakistan studies since since early 90 in regional section)clearly states that in 90s its was a civil war. alot of islamic scholar also put it like that..regarding whether fight against soviet was jihad or not..i will have to say its more a political issue rather than islamic issue

introducing a concept in studies saying fighting for your country and or freedom is jihad isnt a criminal act ..thats why our text books havnt produced terrorists..terrorist were infact produced where education lacked..this is claims supported by facts and statistics rather than empty claims or personal experience

JI condemns Jamrud mosque blast

LAHORE: The Jamat-e-Islami (JI) on Friday condemned bomb blast in a mosque in Jamrud, Khyber Agency which claimed several lives and injuries to many others.

JI Chief Syed Munawar Hasan and Secretary General Liaquat Baloch in a joint statement issued from Mansoorah, termed this blast as a coward and inhuman act by the enemies of the country and Islam.

They prayed for eternal peace of the martyred people and early recovery of the injured.

They also expressed heartfelt sympathies with members of the aggrieved families.

taliban in pakistan is more like a gang of people who want to make their own govt collect their own taxes..
they have absolutely no local support so they try to punish people by attacking public gathering..as they are out numbered they use tactics like suicide blast..sucide balsts in public places ..they are not attacking security forces much because of their huge numerical problem(unlike afgh), so they use mines which targets both local and govt official(again unlike afg)..there are hardly any direct encounters..

finding a 12years old boy and brain washing him isnt that difficult to be honest..govt has failed to tackle them because they are operating from afg

by the way FATA has been sanctuary for criminal due to its enviroment, inaccessibility and boarder to afgh..

the taliban in afgh are different in sense that they have some pushtoon support (due to fact that noone else represent pushtoons in afgh)..thus we see no direct attacks against civilians in afg other than co lateral damages..

see national geographic documentry inside afghnistan . it gives a near bias free representation of afgh taliban

recently the party believed to be radical (in international media) like JUI which supports a taliban govt or equivalent govt representing people(although JUI has very little support it win only few seats..ANP is most represented party) have also been targeted by pakistani taliban several times
