Lahore: 10 killed in Data Darbar blasts

At least 10 people were killed and several others sustained injuries when three blasts occurred in Data Darbar Lahore on Thursday night.
According to rescue sources, 50-70 injured have been shifted to Meo Hospital and 20 injured are stated to be in critical condition. A number of women and children are also among the injured. As per Dunya News correspondent, all three blasts were occurred in the premises of Data Darbar. Rescue teams were reached the sport instantly and started relief activities. Emergency have been declared in the hospitals where the injured are being shifted. It was Friday night, so the there was more rush in the Darbar.

Militants exhumed the body of a spiritual leader and blew up six other shrines in the Stori Khel area of lower Orakzai Agency on Tuesday.

Locals said heavily armed militants came to the area of the Stori Khel tribe, who have raised a lashkar against them, and dug up the grave of spiritual leader Anwarul Haq. They desecrated the remains and then took it to an unknown location.

The militants also blew up six other shrines in the Khwa area of Stori Khel.

The Stori Khel tribe has been fighting the Taliban for over a month to keep them away from their area.

Militant leaders -- Tariq Afridi, chief of Darra Adamkhel and Khyber Agency Taliban, and Maulana Akhunzada Aslam Farooqui, head of Orakzai Agency Taliban -- have been asking the Shia clan of the Stori Khel tribe to expel security personnel recently deployed in the area.

These terrorists have started to attack holy places only because they will catch the innocents while they are praying or are in a calm state.

Punjab has to be dealt with, these attacks indicate that the militants/terrorists are present in Punjab and will target anyone who opposes them.

It was Friday night, so there was more rush in the Darbar. According to Dunya News correspondent, at least 15,000 people were gathered in the Darbar fro prayers.
Security forces have totally cordoned off the area to avoid any other untoward incident.

Eighteen killed, 25 injured in Lahore blasts

Eighteen people were killed and more than 20 got injured on Thursday when three bombs exploded near Data Darbar in Lahore.

Acording to sources, two blasts occured within the premisies of the shrine. CCPO Lahore claimed that it was a suicide attack.


Around 25 people have been shifted to hospitals where several injured are stated to be in critical condition.

LAHORE: At least 18 people have been killed while dozens of others injured in three explosions near Data Darbar late Thursday night, SAMAA reported.

Rescue teams have reached the scene, initiating the rescue work.

The explosions have been occurred just outside the walls of Data Darbar, which have damaged the walls of the shrine.

Meanwhile, the security of Bibi Pak Daman has been tightened.

A large number of visitors were present at Data Darbar due to Thursday.

Public have started chanting anti-government slogans for poor security arrangements.

While talking to SAMAA, DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta termed the attacks as ‘suicidal’.
