Bollywood’s ‘Rockstar’ Disappoints Tibetans

Dalai Lama is not a separatist. All he wants is an autonomous Tibet. And China is open to the idea of granting that status to Tibet if need be. So China should have no issues with India for hosting the Lama

Dalai Lama demands meaningful autonomy for Tibet through bilateral resolution process - Economic Times

Dalai Lama is just saying that, he is the past, he has no role as such in Tibet, it is no longer the feudal hermit kingdom, it is part of a rising, dynamic world power.

it's quite silly of the indians to even get themselves involved in this whole tibet thing by housing their ''exiled government''

they have nothing even to do with india or the standard indian

Well then You know Nothing about Tibet and Their Culture !!

Tibetan Buddhist are Followers of Buddha who was a 'Hindu' ....Buddhism is One of the Purest Religion and was Originated in India and Share Lot of Similiarities with Hinduism , We have a Common Pilgrimage that is Mount Kailash and Lot of Other Thing that Connects us with Them

We share Lot in Common with Tibetans and If You Dont Know a Little bit of History then better go back to school !!

On Topic : This was Big Dissappointment for Tibetans In India who are Counting on us for Support

so clearly, it's an issue that is being resolved without the need of your (or western) interference......i do hope they reach a peaceful and sustainable solution ---since any bloodshed is not a good thing.

does not mean we are going to let Tibetans die of Chinese brutality...Any Tibetan persecuted because of his religion or culture can come to India and live peacefully. The only rule is they should not involve in any law breaking.

the pot calling the kettle black!

i wonder what laws Kashmiris broke which supposedly ''warranted'' the occupation forces from your country to march next door and impose draconian policies and violence on the peaceful people there?

perhaps we can delve into that some other time.

.
they certainly weren't the ones fleeing during the Sino-indo conflict in '62

and China did that in 1967 and 1987...

In 1962 we were not prepared and we did not have a doctrine on how to fight a superior force, did not use Airforce against advancing Chinese army...Until that time Indian army only fought against puny little forces..only after the 1962 debacle, we developed doctrines, strategies to fight in North East..

Indian occupation forces(as you call) only came because ur leaders pants were on fire and they sent an invading barbarian army to loot and kill ordinary kashmiris and force the Maharaja to surrender...The idiocy back fired and more than half the Kashmir became India's..

We can discuss how ur leaders follies lost kashmir for u guys..even after the first Kashmir war India was ready to give Kashmir to Paksitan on one condition...but ur the PM's arrogance lost Kashmir once for and all...

but as u said we can delve into tat some other time

aah, we r back to 1962!!!! thanks for reminding us... 1962 was the mother which gave birth to 1971. Lets hope it still has some more children to give birth to!!!!

Never EVER underestimate the opponent. We Indians openly accept that Chinese are stronger than us. and we must, coz that's the truth.. but that doesn't mean that we can't give a kick when the time comes... anyway, i hope that time never comes... peace is the best thing to have for everyone.

it sure did not disappoint me ..........WHAT A MOVIE........Srk and salman should take acting lessons from ranbir...

on topic it sure is pathetic on the part of censor board..FREEDOM is what seperates India from China...it should not be curbed

We are not intervening here. Intervening would be active support of their movement. A sign of that is this movie being censored.

Some famous quotes of Dalai Lama which influenced millions of Indians like me:

1)All major religious traditions carry basically the same message, that is love, compassion and forgiveness the important thing is they should be part of our daily lives.

2)Be kind whenever possible. It is always possible.

3)Happiness is not something ready made. It comes from your own actions.

4)I find hope in the darkest of days, and focus in the brightest. I do not judge the universe.

5)If you can, help others; if you cannot do that, at least do not harm them.

6)If you have a particular faith or religion, that is good. But you can survive without it.

7)If you want others to be happy, practice compassion. If you want to be happy, practice compassion.

8)In the practice of tolerance, one's enemy is the best teacher.

9)It is necessary to help others, not only in our prayers, but in our daily lives. If we find we cannot help others, the least we can do is to desist from harming them.

10)It is very important to generate a good attitude, a good heart, as much as possible. From this, happiness in both the short term and the long term for both yourself and others will come.

11)Love and compassion are necessities, not luxuries. Without them humanity cannot survive.

12)My religion is very simple. My religion is kindness.

13)Old friends pass away, new friends appear. It is just like the days. An old day passes, a new day arrives. The important thing is to make it meaningful: a meaningful friend - or a meaningful day.

14)Our prime purpose in this life is to help others. And if you can't help them, at least don't hurt them.

15)Sleep is the best meditation.

17)Sometimes one creates a dynamic impression by saying something, and sometimes one creates as significant an impression by remaining silent.

18)The purpose of our lives is to be happy.

19)The roots of all goodness lie in the soil of appreciation for goodness.

20)The ultimate authority must always rest with the individual's own reason and critical analysis.

21)There is no need for temples, no need for complicated philosophies. My brain and my heart are my temples; my philosophy is kindness.

22)Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of Universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life.

23)We can live without religion and meditation, but we cannot survive without human affection.

24)We can never obtain peace in the outer world until we make peace with ourselves.

25)Where ignorance is our master, there is no possibility of real peace.

26)Whether one believes in a religion or not, and whether one believes in rebirth or not, there isn't anyone who doesn't appreciate kindness and compassion.

27)With realization of one's own potential and self-confidence in one's ability, one can build a better world.

it's political because your country helped make it political :)

Whats your point?

Everyone does make things accourdingly, Like Kashmir for Pakistani military is a strategic Issue, for Pakistani aam public it's religious, but to rant in an international forum its political, isn't it ?
