Pakistan and India are two important countries of the world and two potentially huge markets.
Other countries do not see international relations as some sort of zero-sum game and would always keep their options open and their account registers clinking.
In fact this tension between the two countries suit them better.
Go figure...

Correct. Pakistan is also a huge market for international commerce.
Also, so long as Uncle Sam and its Western allies don't target Pakistani economy, I don't see any threat to Pakistan's continued progress. And there is still a significant establishment in America who really want a stable, prosperous Pakistan.

On topic: Banning of actors and movies is very unfortunate.
