Bolivia wants to purchase Iranian-made military planes, helicopters for training
By The Associated Press (CP) – 5 hours ago

LA PAZ, Bolivia — Bolivia says it is interested in buying Iranian-made airplanes and helicopters for military training and transportation.

Finance Minister Luis Arce tells Patria Nueva radio that the Andean nation is looking at Fajr-3, S-68 and 52-seat Iran-140 planes, along with four-seat helicopters. He does not say how many of each.

Arce said Sunday that President Evo Morales and Iran's Mahmoud Ahmadinejad signed a letter of intent on the aircraft deal when Morales was in Tehran last week.

Bolivia also wants to team up with Iran to build a nuclear power plant and establish a joint development bank.

Like his ally Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez, Morales has cultivated closer relations with Tehran, raising concerns in Washington

This is good news for Iran's export industry. The order may easily amount to USD 100m in helicopter and small aircraft sales. Iran is looking forward to Venezuela and Syria to follow. I would wish that there are follow-on orders for Iran's Shahed 285 counter-insurgency light attack helicopter and the Dorna 19-seater light transporter

Bolivia is a great free country.

May Bolivia always be free. Bolivia is apart of the alliance of free countries, with other places like China and Iran.

I seriously doubt it. For start I doubt iran-140 is suitable for Bolivia at all.
