How come India is finding it so diffifult to get rid of all these militants/rebels fighters on its soil? With such a large standing army(and aspiring world power) they shouldnt be having an insurgency going on for decades without any end in sight. This is different from non armed isolated terrorist groups who use knives to stab people, cars to run on people randomly, or crude locally made little explosives etc like In China, Britain, Canada, U.S etc. This one is a well organized armed group, who holds/has presence in a vast terrioty(i heard 1/4th of Indias landmass). This is really serious and troubling. India should make it its priorities to get rid of this menace once and for all. Else it will be a drag to its intergrity/image. Hopefully this will soon be taken care of(though im not sure how, judging by how long this has been going on)

Seperatists groups(including this one) in North-east are Christian ones supported and financed by the west. Getting rid of them is easy. But if Indian govt takes strict action then western powers will cry about Human rights violation.

Instead of fighting along communal lines, atleast learn the ground realities. Those who got killed, & those who killed both belong to the same community. They were Christians. And Bodos does not follow a single religion either. Some of them are christians, some hinu, some Bathou etc. By the ways, NDFB(S) has around 150 cadres. Time to hunt them down.

GUWAHATI: At least nine people, including four women were killed when Bodo militants fired indiscriminately in two villages in Assam on Tuesday evening, police said.

The attacks by militants of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB) faction opposed to peace talks took place in Saralpara village in Kokrajhar district and Santipur village in Sonitpur district, said inspector general of police (Law and Order) SN Singh.

The militants attacked the villages as a response to the intensified operation by the security forces, he said.

The NDFB had on Monday triggered a grenade blast in Patgaon in Kokrajhar district, injuring three people.

A joint team of Assam Police commandos and the Army had on Sunday killed two Bodo militants in neighbouring Chirang district, close to the Bhutan border.

Chief minister Tarun Gogoi Tuesday said his government will not bow down to any militant threat.
