What's new

BNP will take part in the next elections

@Nilgiri , come and see your desired democratic show in your neighbour country. It's only few months and not 4 years as I assured you;).
You can now question your friends specially who are sons of top BNP folks, that why then they burnt people in the name of Democracy, in 2014/2015?
Why didn't they took the same decision instead of such violence?
@Al-zakir, @Skies, what a great decision of andolon after Eid ! Just at the cost of credibility ! Democracy Zindabad :partay: .

@Homo Sapiens,

@Hakikat ve Hikmet, come for the final time to judge Indian termite Bangladeshis!
Otherwise, kargalar bile güler - even crows will laugh!

:sarcastic::sarcastic::sarcastic:

Didn't get your tag. I already said (long ago) BNP is spent and defeated force (it is obvious as can be given they changed position to compete in this "election" when nothing changed from last time when they boycotted)...so how BAL vultures pick at the BNP scraps is BD own business....just like what BD people that are against BAL do to form any new movements/parties.

None of this makes anything sustainable, good, healthy or democratic.

It is basically conclusion of winning mob that could organise inside and get outside support better etc.... takes all.

Institutions, genuine debate and competition.....the things that a country needs to actually have a chance to make something of itself (rather than be eternally reliant on freebies and fakery)...all are degraded and thrown away in process.....and essentially whole place becomes a matter of ticking time bomb for revolution and purges once the authoritarian cult of personality is gone and transition to next one is weak.

@Al-zakir

BTW I dont think @Skies is here anymore.

LOL my comment was actually a bit sarcastic (desired democratic show is this sarcasm ) to our BNP fellas here who always overlook their party mistake.

What do you think if BNP was in the position of AL, would they spare AL? No never, they wouldn't. They would destroy AL alongside destroying Bangladesh.

Forget electricity or other major problems, as BNP scums ( who's leader treated citizens as subject) will overlook it since they never had the problem, they used generator for electricity with loot money, so they will not understand. But let's see at the rise of Bangla bhai and shaikh abdur Rahman, the two Islamist terrorists, who wanted to make Bangladesh talibanistan, and that's not only creepy for Bangladesh, but for the world.

Specially BNP and AL relationship was too vicious that it was unhealthy for Bangladesh. Now we will be waiting to see a good opposition ( who also have the capability to form govt but not under the leadership of a family) , and will criticize govt for their bad works and will appreciate for their good works.

And BNP lack this capability, actually not BNP but it's leadership.

However this debate already lost track many days ago as we agreed in a certain point. I tagged you only as witness and also wanted to show you that how hypocrites they are,and for their hypocrisy public is not with them!

And also it was BNP who boycotted ninth Parliament ( 2008 election that was under a caretaker govt ) ;they only present in Parliament perhaps 10/12 % times.

So what's the point of even the election under a caretaker govt? Election is fair only when you got 151 seat, election is rigged when you can't form govt.

So how can it be democratic? in India Congress almost gone in two consecutive election, but I see no blame game. Why Bangladeshi parties can't have slightest such manner?

However AL in 1996 made shahabuddin Ahmed ( a former chief justice who was the head of caretaker govt in 1991, and AL lost the election) , and later he was the reason of embassment of AL and that harmed their reputation. In 1996 AL did many good things too but what was the result? The result was BNP regime tried to wipe off AL leadership once and for all, and they shamelessly blame AL by saying that it is the internal work of AL.

So why in democracy one side ( AL) have to be crucified Jesus ( but the crucified party will not get the honor of God but will be annihilated as a sign of Satan and dalal of India ? ) and others will get unfair advantage that will make them demonic power who will treat citizens as subject and will loot, will help rise the terrorism?

Yes, but BNP ( read Khaleda and tareq) was basically destroyed by their bad deeds
And later good people will form other parties under good leadership that will be good opposition and good in govt too, unlike the vicious empress Khaleda zia who treated us as her subject. So from now democracy will be more than welcome when both govt and opposition will be fruitful and we are waiting for them.

I tagged you so that you can be a witness of this process for real democracy in Bangladesh in future , thank you. :)

I am never one to say BNP is some holy clean party. Definitely they would be just as ruthless if they got the chance...just they didn't. My friend who's dad worked as minister/adcisor under BNP pretty much said the same thing long time back to me (after SHW refused caretaker election system for the 1st time).....that yes what BAL doing is just matter of them using the chance they got....its not like BNP would forego that if they got same chance.

The problem stems from BD inner psyche (which has formed over time for all kind of reasons) in the end, I have no solution on what to do there....that is up to BD people.
