Rohingya issue
BNP slams India's support to Suu Kyi
Friday, September 8, 2017
By UNB, DHAKA

BNP on Thursday expressed surprise over India's support to Myanmar's Aung San Suu Kyi's repressive policy on Rohingya issue.

"India claims to be one of the world's main democratic countries, but they've extended their support to Aung San Suu Kyi's nasty policy. Narendra Modi supported it. We're surprised and shocked by it," said BNP senior joint secretary general Ruhul Kabir Rizvi.

He came up with the remarks while talking to reporters at a human chain programme arranged by Jatiyatabadi Muktijoddha Dal in front of the Jatiya Press Club protesting the persecution on Rohingyas by Myanmar's security forces.

The BNP leader came down hard on Nobel Peace Prize laureate Aung San Suu Kyi for indulging in crimes against humanity and ethnic cleansing of Rohingya Muslims in Myanmar's Rakhine State.

He also criticised the Bangladesh government for not taking any visible step to mount pressure on the Myanmar authorities to stop repression on Rohingyas.

"Our Prime Minister (Sheikh Hasina) said her government is in contact with many countries to put pressure on Myanmar. But there's been no visible step and diplomatic efforts to this end. They simply summoned Myanmar envoy here," Rizvi observed.

The BNP leader alleged that though the UN and some Muslim countries strongly raising their voices against the repression on Rohingyas, the Bangladesh government is not taking any strong stance on it.

He said their party wants the government to resolve the Rohingya crisis through diplomatic efforts and force Myanmar to take back Rohingya refugees from here.

Rohingya people are now frantically trying to enter Bangladesh in the face of crackdown by Myanmar's security forces as Rohingya insurgents reportedly attacked dozens of police posts and an army base. The ensuing violence and the security forces' onslaughts have killed at least 400 people and triggered the exodus of villagers to Bangladesh.

Many of the fleeing Rohingyas have already entered the country through different border points.

The last thing we want is an enemy out of Myanmar, it will adversely affect our action against insurgents in North East.

BD is locked in between India and Myanmar. We can't access far east without the help of Myanmar. So, it's better we stay quiet on this issue. Let the UN-Myanmar-BD and 'Veto' nations decide on it.

Why are you crying out so loud and behaving like Hindus and Buddhists of old times?

Do what you do best.

In other related news, BNP and every other half witted bangladeshi thanked China and Russia for their defence of Myanmar in UN and practiced praising awesome china while licking yellow balls at the same time.

Where did Modi supported killings of Rohingyas?

Arre baba enemy making and enemy seeking is the hallmark of salafist scum. Dont ask rational questions. Just watch them give a blow to China while China defends MM in UN again. Have you not seen how these retards were cheering for china recently when it appeared china was planning to block water that ultimately flows to bangladesh? We are dealing with low intellect people here whose normal intellectual faculties have been replaced by an archaic book they dont even understand.

Star Online Report

Jatiya Party Chairman HM Ershad today voiced support for imposing a sanction on Myanmar, condemning the country’s violence against the Rohingya community.

“I express detest Myanmar’s activities and protest it strongly,” the former military ruler said in a statement issued over the Rohingya issue this afternoon.

“I hope Myanmar will take back its Rohingya population. Otherwise the world will have to take a harsh stand and impose a sanction on Myanmar,” Ershad said.

The JP Chief also appealed to the UN and the global community to extend a helping hand to Bangladesh, which is already reeling from food crisis following a devastating flood this year.

Also, Ershad urged the government to stand beside the Rohingya refugees and provide them with shelter and all sorts of humanitarian aids.

Modi is not being quiet is he?

He is in Mynamar now kissing their arse and making public statements of support.

No less can be expected from the butcher of Gujarat.
