Yes, in a way you are right. But there is a difference between Indian and US foreign policy in my opinion. Indian foreign policy is all or nothing, because they hate BNP-Jamat with a passion and want to eliminate them from the face of the earth and the feeling is mutual on the other side. But the US is more pragmatic, they will try to bring AL in power, but if this scheming fails, they will work with BNP-Jamat and try to minimize the damage. That is the difference between a super-power and a delusional nobody like India. But with Nisha Desai being under secretary, a sane policy may not be forthcoming even from USA, so it will be interesting next few years, till Obama is gone and hopefully this Nisha is replaced by someone else who is not of Indian descent.
