People were getting stabbed on the road in New York due to Islamophobia. If some Pakistani did say in one city, to keep his business running, doesn't mean all Pakistan does all the time. India is over producing engineers and that is leading to quality issues with engineers and scientists. India itself is too capital poor to provide work for these scientists so the government has to send them abroad. This has been happening for years and India has done well because of that. Now the problem is that U.S is disengaging itself from the rest of the world and focussing on the pacific and the northeastern european regions. If the bill doesn't pass now it is inevitable the the H-1B visas are going to run dry soon enough. The U.S disengagement from this region mean no aid for pakistan and reduced numbers of H-1B visas for india.

The H-1B system needs to be reformed a tad due to some abuses. There have been several news reports where US workers were simply replaced by H-1B workers. This was not the intent of H-1B program.

India also wants US to triple the H-1B visa quota too. Good luck in that happening. Nevertheless, reforms are welcome.

Rest of world immigrate as a family, Indians are flooding based on work visa. There are estimated 15,000 Pakistani doctors and dentists in US. Most of them worked their way up within US. Not like Indians on H1B coming over in boatloads.

You probably are not educated enough, but check the CEO of top companies, universities, medical field, research field or anything else you will see them Indians. H1B is same for everyone except Canadians. It only changes when it comes to green card. There is a separate quota for Indians and Chinese for green cards. If you have the skill, education and the brains to survive, nothing stops your countrymen from getting a work visa.Many Pakistanis do work on H1B but of course Indians are always know to be smarter. So called good looks don't get you anywhere..brains can!
