BLOOMBERG: TURKEY WILL PAY FOR ABANDONING THE KURDS

I fully understand the stance of Turkey on this, and frankly agree, they are in no way obligated to intervene if NATO and Europe don't go all in first.

But, nevertheless, from where I'm standing, Turkey is loosing the PR battle, and loosing it badly - and before someone comes in and tells us that doesn't matter, it matters a great deal...

Better losing PR than losing soldiers, economy.

I think USA is losing much more than Turkey loses. IS destroyed whole stability which US needed for oil extraction. And Kurdistan.

Well, were did all thos 911 hijackers came from? Pakistan? Nopes. They were from KSA. And OBL is a Pakistani? Nopes. A KSA citizen. All I can see is that most wars here are related to KSA. Just like that Arabs have big hand in Pakistani politics. I mean, you give them the right to shoot hundred protected birds and these morons kill the entire population. Look how arabs treat workers from Asia. I think the evil is there my friend.

Who cares where they were from? There were 15 of them anyway. Did the government of KSA create 9/11?
OBL was half Yemeni and Syrian. He was only born in KSA. Just like many Pakistanis are born in KSA but they will never become Saudi Arabians or Arabs.

What has 9/11 to do with anything? Many key members of Al-Qaeda were from Pakistan. Do the mastermind of 9/11 tell you anything?

Khalid Sheikh Mohammed - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Born in Kuwait to Pakistani Baluch parents.

There have been many more Pakistani terrorists than Saudi Arabian terrorists anyway if you want to start a dick measuring contest involving terrorists.

Arabs, this, Arabs that. People will always be butthurt and they have a lot of reasons to be so. This can happen when you like Arabs created 3 of the 10 largest empires. More than anyone in the top 10. Yeah a few bad apples among 500 million people. Nice logic.

If KSA was this bad and the Arab world there would not be millions of you Pakistanis going there or Pakistani users living in KSA and not complaining here on PDF. Besides there are also bad apples among your people in the Arab world. No need to fool yourself and even the Pakistanis living in KSA can confirm this. Here on PDF.

Anyway your entire post is totally off-topic.

No mate...with the looming creation of the Kurd state and a revitalised Russia, bad PR isn't something you would want in the West...
I've been following the western press, and the kind of articles and opinions that pop up now, about Turkey, they will hurt a lot in the long term.

USA... USA will kill ISIS, one way or the other, and the oil will flow free :)

Kurdish independence is out of the question in Iraq and Syria.

KRG wanted independence but when they saw how they were raped on the battlefield and ISIS almost capturing Erbil, they quickly kissed up with Baghdad.

The same in Syria. The enclaves are isolated and any hostility from them to Turkey will result in an invasion and destruction of their enclaves.

Western countries need Turkey as a bridge to the Middle East. There isn't really any other country in the region who could play that role(although Iran did a long time ago). The US and EU will sulk but I seriously doubt they will actually fall out with Turkey.

In this region, USA is temporary. We are permanent.

Doesn't Turkey have pretty good relations with the Kurds of Iraq though?

Kurds invaded Kirkuk, when IS defeated Iraqi troops in Mosul. Kurds crossed a red line. Nobody in the region would accept that move easily. Now they have to grow some balls if they want to keep it. Otherwise someone will crush KRG in the near future.

Best chain of events would be .........

1. ISIS kills PKK (One of the same as Kurds of Kobani Mobani Tobani Yobani).
2. Turkey kills ISIS.
3. Then we can have GOLBAL APPLAUSE for Turkey.... :partay:

Nothing personal. This is how geopolitics is played! :D

Krg is good for now but they helped pkk in the past. During operation sun, barzani captured 3000 pkk. He was going to hand them over but then releases them. In our bad days they never stood with us now they want us to sacrifice our peace and stability for their ypg enclaves. Fuuk them.

Kirkuk belongs to Turkmen

Allow me to disagree, the kind of publicity the Kurds are getting now only leads to one thing - the Kurd state. There's isn't, really, any other reason to put the Kurds on such a pedestal of virtue, they way they're put now, if it's not to support the creation of a new state,

Not by Turkey, this isn't the 90's anymore.

Not that much - SA fills that role better. Iran might, once again, in the future. Turkey was needed because Russia and central Asia more than the ME..
I don't know if you're looking at the news now, but the USA isn't talking to Turkey. Not anymore.

I don;t want to be appear as anti Turkish, especially since I view your people very positively and as an ally of my country, but you're (external) politics in the last couple of years sucked. And your PR sucks.

Kirkuk, Irbil, Mosul and all that area around there belongs to Turkey. Plain and simple!

Once ISIS kicks the crapper out of these morons, Turkey can finally liberate all these areas for herself............ :D

Turkey has cultural and historical links to Europe which Saudi Arabia doesn't, which is why it can't really be replaced as an ally. Not to mention there are millions of Turks living in Germany, Bulgaria, Greece, Austria, Netherlands etc.

Either you play by our rules, or you are out. EU can cry me a river. But at the end, what can EU do? Write a complain letter? :)
