Sorry. San Jose GDP per capita is $105,000. There is only one city in the United States that can more. Without 100,000 viet kieu the city would never achieve that.

Again, stop misleading Chinese members here Viet  Assume your 100k is correct, is is because Silicon Valley is in the located in that region People work there make good money but not live in SJ. The Silicon Valley workers bring up the rest of SJ's GDP per capita but the majority live in poorer areas.

I should remind you that vietnamese in Canada also live in not so desirable areas. Ie. North Edmonton, ghetto areas in and around Toronto GTA,

Please stop embarrassing yourself

Of course San Jose profits from hightec companies in Silicon Valley. Also do San Francisco and other bay areas. But if comparing where we live to where many Chinese live, we are much better off. Have you ever been to San Jose, visiting the homes of viet kieu? I did. Most of homes of chinese for example in New York would be considered as slums :woot:

Canada is a bit different but is not in a bad shape as you try to pain.

Vietnamese bragging of goodness on overseas soil and try to claim proud?

We Chinese feel proud of China doing great things for Chinese now.. see the different of your so called patriotic? :enjoy:
Well, you forgot It is Chinese posters who always like dragging viet kieu into any thread.

we do known well about mentality of China leaderships CPC's from 1968, ..72 ..74, 88, 2014. anti-china expansionism is existed here in Vietnam from long time ago in the past. Its not depended on what could be happened in Philippine.

She is arrested not related to that she is anti-china.

VCP make a terrible bet on Soviet Union and paid the price! :enjoy:

Do you know why Chinese do not have much anti Vietnamese? Becos the Chinese do not have inferiority complex compare to Vietnamese.

A pity that overseas Viets like @Viet can't organize a color revolution. And those living in Vietnam like @kecho can only whine in PDF. In the mean time i'm glad Communist Vietnamese government still know who is in charge of Asia. PH learned it the hard way and make a good example for Vietnam not to antagonize its giant neighbor.

I live in Southern California and have been to San Jose countless times and it's not even close to the same league as San Marino, where the Chinese live. Last I checked, median home prices in San Jose is around $820,000, which definitely gets you a beautiful house, but San Marino is on another level. For reference per wiki:

In 2014, Forbes magazine ranked the city as the 48th most expensive area to live in the United States.[4] In 2014, LA Weekly ranked the city as the 3rd most expensive area to live in the Los Angeles County, topping Beverly Hills (7th), Malibu (5th), and more.[5] There are few to no homes priced under US$1,000,000, with the median list price of a single family home at US$2,159,000.[6]

Even if we only use San Jose as a metric, there are 160,000+ Chinese-Americans residing in San Jose compared to 100,000+ Vietnamese-Americans.

overseas vietnamese cannot fight back because they are no longer capable of hardship anymore. I cannot imagine them crawling in rat holes, fighting at night with no lights, losing a limb but not screaming in pain. @gambit does not need to worry.
YOU -- A Chinese living in Canada and who have never been in the military, and probably never will, is casting doubt on whether someone can handle war and fighting ?

Not sure about San Marino, but that is a part of LA, isn't? Many viet kieu settle down within the greater LA area. Actually we mostly are in Santa Clara county in Northern California and Orange county in Southern California. By the way, besides of historical friction and territorial conflict, we have no problems at all with the Chinese. In fact, in the United States it is very common, a viet shop is close to a Chinese or a viet town is close to a Chinese or even mixed.

When Vietnam war is ended 1975, China is trusted ally of USA from 1972 with Shanghai Shanghai Communiqué, and China stolen Paracel of Vietnam with force 1974, good relation with Soviet Union is no bad solution for Vietnam to balancing power here in south east asia.

Talking about inferior complex here, it is better to apply to China. China had changed your master from Soviet Union to USA is very easily, China did it like small kids do.
