It works this way:

1. A small group of terrorists(mostly 4-6) plans an attack
2. Works on logistics
3. Collects resources and finances to execute an attack
4. Gets suicide bomber from Afghanistan
5. Executes an attack

Not in all this process, it is your intel agencies that collect all the information. Pin point presence and existence of the terrorists in a locality. Shares that information to police/FC. Police and FC work on that intel to arrest or eliminate that small group of terrorists.

Now in today's attack like hundreds of other attacks that happened in Pakistan, intel agencies failed to locate and track presence of terrorists and their hideout. When they failed so then police and FC too failed since they had no information to work on.

So it is failure of intel agencies basically along with other security agencies that include both FC and police.

In order to do that, ISI would need to be big brother. You can't listen in on every conversation made by a group of 4-6 people in some hell hole in a corner of the country. The materials for bomb making are so readily available, whose job is it to pass appropriate legislation and then implement it? Can the ISI have agents to follow every Afghan around? Whose job is it to have comprehensive CCTV monitoring? Whose job is it to have personnel monitoring the CCTV cameras. The army is already doing more than enough vis a vis the recent Quetta operation. Is this the army's role? They should be on the border, or in the barracks. This is a job for government, civil administration, and law enforcement.

The local police officer can stop such attacks even before they start making the plan.
That's what i was saying on Lahore blast thread police could've prevented the attack when they received the info from intel agencies police have their own local intel groups just allow them to work independently for once let them co-ordinate with intel agencies free up police men from protocol duties.

17 years of WOT, Pakistani authorities should have been very professional and experience by now, but unfortunately they didn't, and we see these kind of life loosing incident as if these are everyday affairs.

Shame on both the security agencies as well as joker govt.

Looks like our useless and incompetent security and intelligence agencies failed again.

Casualties feared.
Please don't blame agencies and forces what you can do when 30 lakhs of snake living in your country and crossing each day in lakhs.

not even 1% successful operations reported to media because of confidentiality issues.

They are doing good job and that is why our agencies tops the chart and you know how many times agencies request to limit Afghan snakes to camps but turned down by Govt.

Looks like our useless and incompetent security and intelligence agencies failed again.

Casualties feared.

What has the Pakistani American community did for Pakistan except giving a warm welcome to the likes of Hussain Haqqani.

You share the blame yourself.

Stop your propaganda in Pakistan's armed forces.

It was the job of security agencies, Idc what you call them, ISI, PA, Rangers, FC, levies, police, etc. Why are police or levies not trained by ISI and Army by now? If police guys are incompetent then they should be fired and hire the proper personal.

It is about securing a city of Quetta that has a population of around 1-1.5 million. You don't need to hear every conversation. You just need to have your intel network at the right place and at the right time.

If we can't have a good intel system in a small city of Quetta then what good are we? Military shares the burden of all these failures too. They cannot be let go off these incidents. If civilian government failed to implement CCTV or restrictions on explosives then it is also failure of military that they failed to pressurize government on these issues. There is no coordination between civilian and military institutions and that is failure of both not one.

Army is not doing enough. Sorry. Getting killed every now and then is not doing enough. We don't need more martyrs. Our military needs to get this too in their thick heads. We need more guys living and working at the time right place and time to avoid such incidents.

Army needs to look into itself and change its policies. I say again. Just getting killed every now and then is not serving your country. You are needed to kill our enemies before they hit us. You are needed to do that. If you can't do that then you are a failure.

Sure. Absolutely. All we need is the Army running the country. Then all of this will happen. Sit back and think what you are saying.
