It's possible the Maoist could be behind this attack.


Some Indian sources suggest China supports the Maoist, if so what will India's response be to these "Chinese-backed" Maoist insurgents who sympathize with China?

Guys.. Grief aside... Is any one of us really surprised?? Nothing less was expected from these terrorists... As a matter of fact I am not even sure if thats the extent of it or if there are a few more in the offing.. Some people were destined to die the day India invited Pakistan for talks. Don't get upset.. Get Mad and back your govt if they take a strong stance. If they dont, kick them out in the next elections. As I said in one of my earlier posts.. there is a lot of hurt for the people of India and Pakistan in the near future.

I see certain kinds of comments implying 'allegations against Pakistan'.

Many of the people on this forum, especially Indians, have been critical of Pakistanis claiming Indian involvement in terrorism in Pakistan without evidence, resorting to ridicule even.

Now is time for all these people to show they acted in good faith and apply the same yardstick here, and in any future terrorist attacks in India.

If there is no credible and concrete evidence to blame Pakistan, hold your Indian peers accountable for their comments and say so out loud and set an example for the Pakistanis to follow.

Show us your intellectual honesty by applying the same yardstick in this case.

Pune blast: 5 to 7 kg of IED was used in German Bakery blast

Pune: The explosion, which left about 8 persons, including three foreign nationals and 33 injured here this evening at the German Bakery, was a bomb blast in which Improvised Explosive Device (IED) was used.


At least five to seven kilogram of IED was used in the bomb blast, which occured outside the German Bakery here, NDTV reported Anti Terrorist Squad (ATS) sources as saying.

Initial reports suggested Indian Mujahideen is being suspected to be behind the blast, the report added.

At least eight persons, including three foreign nationals, have died and 40 injured, including a Sudan national, in the bakery blast which has occurred here at about 7.30 p.m. in Koregaon Park here.

NDTV report stated home ministry sources saying that it looks like a bomb blast and it doesn’t look like any normal blast. The blast occurred when an unidentified bag was being opened by someone, the report added.

Meanwhile, another unclaimed bag has been found at the place of incident. The blast occurred at the German Bakery, Koregaon Park. It is located near Osho Ashram, which is visited by a lot of foreign nationals.

Germany Bakery is a popular venue here and is visited by a lot of foreign nationals. The injured, meanwhile, have been rushed to the nearby Sassoon Hospital. The number of the injured is expected to rise.

I was coming back from Mahabaleshwar and had just entered Pune when the blast happened. The police blocked instantly all the areas around KP (Koregaon Park) and since i live very near to it I got stuck in a traffic. Then news started pouring in with my parents and friends calling abt it.

It started with a LPG blast and we were like its sad that so many people were injured due to carelessness. The police were handling the things very well, for the first time I felt we have learn't something from previous experiences. But then I got the news that it is a bomb blast, it was scary to even think about the implication.


There was a traffic jam throughout the pune and making things very difficult for people who just wanted to rush back home to their loved one's. I saw lot of volunteer's helping in managing traffic and other stuff. Even I chipped in by helping an elderly couple who's car has stopped right in middle of traffic.

Then the amount of dead came out and I was so damn angry and frustrated to think that a year of peace has been broken. I hope the dead rest in peace and justice is served.

I can't believe that the very place where I spend 4 years of my college having the pastries and coffee has been dealt such a blow, it seems so much personal although it shouldn't. Its such a popular destination that everyone in Pune can associate with it.

Anyways one thing I can predict is that the peace talks are off for now. Whether Pakistan was involved or not, conducting peace talks now would be a political suicide for any party. To tell you frankly I don't even want it, We had a year of peace before this peace talk thing. If peace talk's bring this I say stick it where it belongs. We don't want it and happy without it.
