Blast in Karachi

Let me tell you about an incident in our history. After 1953 Lahore agitations, a great General by the name of Azam Khan moved in normalize the situation. He famously quipped that he would deal with this matter in an hour, he did so brilliantly and the situation itself was no simple matter, the police and government were unable to control it.

He ended the riots, took control of Lahore and arrested the 'religious' leaders who were responsible. In military court, death sentence was passed down to these 'leaders' to be carried out effectively the very next morning.

A call came from a certain King of a Middle Eastern nation that very night and the sentences were never carried out. The same religious leaders and their cronies then went on to destroy our social fabric with a Mard-e-Momin called Zia.

The same pressures bind us today.

i am sorry why are you being politically correct these bastards are destroying your country every day yet you are still refusing to name the s.h.i.t. if you cant allow me its called HOUSE OF DEVIL wait a minute even devil cant sink this low so i will call them with there real name HOUSE OF SAUD.

Mod Edit: No need to be so insulting

Its a conspiracy I believe to stoke sectarian hatred once again, however it will fail again miserably Inshallah.

Just yesterday, an senior aalim of the Jamia Binoria, one of the largest madrassah got assassinated in Karachi and today these twin suicide bombings at Abdullah Shah Ghazi Baba's mazar.

Some channel showed the head of one of the suicide bombers, looked like a young teenager obviously brainwashed to commit such a haram act!

May ALLAH have mercy on us.

Its better to be politically correct while you strike rather than being blunt and loosing any chance of future relation.

Lets be honest here, its won't make a difference where I point my finger towards, its the people who are in power and we know who pull their strings.

Do sufis come under Shia/Sunni or are they their own sect?

Do sufis come under Shia/Sunni or are they their own sect?

Majority of the Sufis follow Sunni practices even though there is a strong tilt towards Hazrat Ali (RA) who is considered as a Vali Allah. I have personally come across statement that Khawaja Hassan Basri claimed his path (Tariqaa) from Hazrat Ali (RA). There are some Shia Tariqas as well, but percentage wise these are insignificant.

Takfiris, Wahabis and also many Deobandis consider praying at a Sufi Shrine as “Shirk” because the worshippers are assigning powers of Allah to the Pirs.

Admittedly this view point has some justification. I have seen pilgrims asking the deceased Sufis to aid them in getting jobs or begetting children etc. No doubt only Allah can aid in such endeavors.

However does this mean that you kill all those who you think have lost their way?

Tragedy occurs when some influential political leaders such as JI leadership openly declare their support for these forces. Because such a stance can indirectly provide justification for killing the innocents.

Suicide bombers strike Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine

DAWN.COM | Pakistan | Suicide bombers strike Abdullah Shah Ghazi shrine

KARACHI: At least ten people were killed when two suicide bombers exploded at a major shrine “Abdullah Shah Ghazi” in the port city of Karachi late Thursday, a senior government official told AFP.

Sadly in a Salafi mindset there is no room for any other faith or religion. the seeds of relgious intolerence towards Shia's & Ahmedis that were sowed in the 80s have turned into dreadful tenticles engulfing every Pakistani regardless how he prays or who he belives in.

some say it is the reaction of Lal Mosque operation for which the militants are still punishing the Pakistani population but they were doing this already they just need an excuse to slaughter people for their free pass to heaven and 72 virgins

that comes at the cost of the blood of us unfortunate people.
sad, upset and disgusted with this ideology.

may the souls of the dead rest in peace

I have been very concerned about one matter throughout the last few years in relation to what has been happening in Pakistan. That matter is the lack of commitment by our rulers and establishment to actually do anything about all the problems that we are facing today. Either they are incapable of doing anything or they have some other agendas and do not want to fully intervene in our current dilemma.

Though it has to be said that the establishment has been indifferent for decades and unable to comprehend what may occur in the future because of their actions. There must be a point when at least a few amongst them must think that there has been enough suffering, injustice and tyranny in this land.

The power circles are responsible for this mess, its their responsibility to get us out of it. Lets hope that finally some sense prevails and the establishment starts to work towards bettering our nation because otherwise we are as good as dead.

Lets face it, the ship called Pakistan is in serious trouble. If we are fortunate, it may drift into some reasonably safe port. If not, it can get wrecked on its way to nowhere. We need not go into history to discover that not all ships make it to port.

RIP.
I have been to the Abdullah Ghazi Mazar a long time ago. It was just like Lahore's Data Darbar: Full of peaceful people. Mostly poor. No discriminations against any sect of Islam or against even non-Muslims. I have been to Ajmer's Khwaja Mohiuddin (sp?) Darbar as well. Same scene.

Who could stoop to this low level? It baffles me. I mean had they struck a Pakistani security force convoy or checkpoints or Nato troops or even the ISI building it would have made at least some tactical sense.

But hitting Mazars?! How can someone be so brainwashed to blow themselves up and kill so many innocent in the process.

I also tell you that Zia's rule was absolutely the worst. Though a young boy in the 80s I started to see more and more people condemning 'Bid'at' (heresy) of going to Mazars. I started to hear that certain relative has become a 'Wahabbi' and is acting strange.

That Mardood Zia ul Haq and his ideological followers are a curse on humanity.

So, what's next? The Mazar of Quaid e Azam? It is also a juicy target: A secular person belonging to a minority sect of Islam whose Mazar is frequent by people offering prayers at the grace. Very juicy!

You summarize it quite well ...

yesterday night senior aalim of the Jamia Binoria was murdered .. today many roads was blocked due to Namaz-e-janaza at day time ...
& now this attack .. seriously enemies of PAKISTAN are trying to ignite sectarian violence like they did in Iraq ..

RIP to dead.

i have a question, how to get rid of this menace?? that will surely be a long process, but what should be the starting point? what should be the roadmap ? can pakistanis put light on these ?

oh man you guys stretch it too far.

A naive person even knows that crowded places are the ideal target for terrorists.

Besides if the crowded place has something to do with ethnic or sectarian aspect it adds more media hype and attention worldwide for these terrorists.
