Blasphemy laws: ‘MQM will protect Pakistan from religious tyranny’

Actions speak louder than words. PPP tried to amend controversial blasphemy law and obviously not without the approval of main party leaders. However in the end they showed weakness and scrapped any such plan. Had they shown some courage, this blasphemy law wouldn't be such a crisis today.

As for ANP, i leave it to some ANP supporter to defend them. No idea about them.

PPP or ANP are just coward parties, they dont stick to what they say, PPP is ruling the country they should not listen to mullas any more, whatever they want to bark let them bark & take should some tough steps against this mess. PPP is so coward that they didn't even condemn brutual murders of their own party leaders taseer & Bhatti. PPP has been elected just to loot the country, they dont bother about the problems, they want to loot as much as they can in these elected years than go to Europe for 10years. And in the end i would like to tell you that PPP created all this religion mess during ZA Bhutto rule & it is their duty to solve it now.

Well ....

MQM wants to implement their own religion, the Utter Pardesh Deobandi religion .....

This suits all requirements of the day, thus it is a good religion. ....

I respect the MQM for the stand that it has taken against the extremists is commendable and a stand that has unfortunately so far has not been yaken by another party....
On the other hand my main problems with the MQM and most of its critics are that their head is sitting outside the country, ok so their is a threat to his life but the life of every other major politician is also under threat so does this mean that all the politicians should sit outside the country and run their campaigns etc...
Also I find it very hard to believe that the MQM has no hand in the violence in Karachi and it has sadly not taken too many steps too contain it other than give a lot of speeches, MQM supporters try to justify that even if they are involved a 'little bit' at least they are against the extremists, one good dead of a party does not absolve it of its other shortcomings...
I think that as the MQM is in power right now Altaf hussain if he were to come back will have sufficient security and it is a risk that he will have to take and then talk about change in the system.

With a whole lot of issues at hand, adding more problems to the contentiousness, may not be a fruitful endeavour.

I think stability and unity within Pakistan is the most critical issue and that is where the focus should be and not focussed to divide the already fractious society.

Just my view and I could be wrong.
