1.Attendees of OBOR Forum from South Asia nations:
Pakistan: PM, Srilanka: PM, Nepal: Vice PM.
India and Bhutan: Non, BD : An irrelevant minister, slightly better than India and Bhutan.
2. Military treaty with India, Grant a lot of sub contracts to India companies from 24 billion Chinese loan project, share Chinese money with indian hands.
3. Sonadia deep sea port project cancelled, Hmmm, due to pressure from India, US and Japan,
While Srilanka and Myanmar got no pressure from India, US and Japan when gave China Sea ports, Oil and Gas pipe lines. Now, we have sea ports in Pakistan,Srilanka,Myanmar and military base in Djibouti, fair enough to do something in Indian ocean.
4. Talking about buy J10B but we only see large amout of deals with Su30 and Mig35.
China as BD's "most important, strategy, trustfully Friend" only in Words, but in reality we all know it is India first policy!!!
You are correct on the 'India-first' approach here. Though, there is no real policy that exist. Everything goes under the table. It is what we cannot see that matters here!
As for the those loans, they are slow to disburse.

So don't be surprised if the same applies to Chinese loans which is why I prefer the private sector. They get things done!
You see for the Indians, Bangladesh is what we call intersecting ground. It serves as a link to their north eastern territories and we have a small border with Burma. As you may already know, there are several insurgencies in the north east adding to being less developed than the mainland India.
Bangladesh has had a historically violent political culture along with a series of coups during the Cold War days. And that frightened them. It is 100% true that Assamese separatists did take shelter in Bangladesh during the early 2000's. And that really made them upset. Apparently, we Bangladeshis supported them, but there's no evidence of that. Bangladesh was what I would say was trafficked ground at the time while being intersecting at the same time.
The presently ruling Awami League was what we called the 'beggar's party'. They were nothing. No business, little money, nothing. Their leader Sheikh Hasina even went to jail back in 07 under the military-backed caretaker government at the time. Now she's prime minister. How? She got help. And you can guess who was that helper. Not long after in 08, our top military officers were slain under mysterious circumstances.
They will keep the present regime in power by hook or crook. They will not hesitate to take military action should things not go in their favor.
We are very deeply entrenched by the Hindustanis not because we want it to be or that we like them. But because we are forced to by the circumstances they had created for you and everyone else around.
South Asian sociopolitics is very complicated. And before you say something like 'we don't interfere with other's matters' lol....just know that somebody else is trying to outwit you under your very nose. And they are getting results as proven by your OP itself.
If you don't want to be part of the burden, then don't bother. It is fine. We know very well that you didn't support Bangladesh's independence during the 71' War. It is interesting how people remove their masks when the push comes to the shove.
