BLA and TTP are hitting soft targets. They are monitoring targets which are not provided military or elite level armed escorts. The other list is of paramilitary institutions whose training standards are below rangers and regular army.let me clarify and if you read my other posts you will understand that this was not targetted towards Chinese but instead mocking our own leadership
The whole route taken by this woman will be seen and analysed on CCTV cameras. Dots will be linked and re traced.
The real issue is who is responsible for the security of Karachi city. Or any other city of Pakistan. Is it the police or paramilitary Rangers or regular army.
This woman made her way through the streets of Karachi. If there was martial law then military would be standing on routes like in 80’s but there is no martial law. She didn’t come through cantt areas probably so military checking is out of question. Did she even avoid Rangers as well as police pickets and check points. Should there be female cops on checkpoints to thoroughly check women pedestrians who seem doubtable.
Next were safety and security cameras. The staff sitting on cameras In monitoring rooms of police missed that too. There were no scanners on the route she took. She was wearing burqa so her body language or face expressions couldn’t exhibit much as warning signs. If she or explosives or her handlers or equipment is traced back to the border then one of these factors would have come through Afghanistan or Iran, meaning a border where FC is deployed.
There is an apparatus of positions and forces set out by top brass for security of Karachi but blaming COAS or Army is immature and childish. The commands given to police, Rangers, intel agencies come into question. Special branch, FIA, IB are loitering on the streets, not discounting ISI since different dets are present in Karachi but the one entity cannot be blamed entirely. Why isn’t SSU freed from VIP escort duties to provide security on the streets for general public. The officers assigned on duty for security of Karachi whether IG, SSPs etc from police, Rangers as well as intel agencies must be questioned.
The recon for conducting this atrocity must have been done in advance, even then none of the security elements picked up the signs. They had scouted routes, the van, the timings, driver and guards, people in van, all names, everything.
So, it’s definitely an intelligence failure, it’s border management failure. Police and Rangers have failed.
