No way BJP could come to power in Maharashtra ..
NCP swept Zilla Parishad elections single handedly

The popularity of NCP is at it's peak now
And plus the internal disputes between Shiv sena , BJP and vote separation by MNS has worsened the situation even further

All we could do is hope .. But no..
NCP-Congress would form the next government in Maha

No one cares about corruption per se. .
Coz a normal voter thinks both the parties are equally corrupt

I agree with you Zeeshan....Now if our politics is so corrupt that if any political leader is not corrupt then people starts askingq uestions with surprise....And of course...democracy is a rotation policy now...This time Congress and next time BJP ..That does not mean that some political party is better than other one...

.
The thing is that popularity of Congress is decreasing ..
But on the other hand the popularity of UPA's allies is increasing
So I feel that UPA would form a government but Congress role would diminish

It's very difficult for BJP to come to power because they have alienated almost all the minorities like Muslims , Christians

BJP had got an awesome chance to come to power this time but Akali dal in Punjab and Yedurappa mess in Karnataka showed how helpless the high command of BJP is

Yeah ..
Even I want NDA to form next government
There should be UPA in one term , NDA in other
But BJP is just not providing the viable option

People vote for Congress not because they love them but because there is no other viable alternative

@Topic
The results of mayor elections just don't get transformed to assembly and central elections
For e.g. Bjp sweeped Mumbai municipal elections but literally got whitewashed in assembly and central elections

:hitwall: check Maheshwar bye poll election result in last month ,bjp won traditional congress seat with a majority of over 37000 votes, and ur congress failed to retain their sitting seat that shows people are still with the ruling party.....u r leaders are only good in making Noise ,like an empty vessel

Ashamed to know ur a Maharashtrian...

Why? Just coz not supporting communal BJP? And dont need your certification for that.I used to go in Sangh in my teenager . I saw their real face after babri Mosque demolition. They used and put it the issue in dustbin now. My uncle died in Ayodhya (he was karsevak). Not a single leader came to visit his family. So stop support those extremists moron. Sanity has left BJP after Mr. Vajpayee's exit from active politics. BJP is not different from Congress. Congress and BJP have become democrats and republicans. Almost same. Both are corrupt, less moralistic and inefficient.

You are exactly right, most people consider D Assholle modi as only saviour of India,Angel down to earth to Lift up India. Feeling pity for them.

dont worry. local elections can not predict loksabha elections

And not to forget that these elections are meaningless as no big party have contested these elections.

SP, BSP the no. 1 and no. 2 party in the UP have not contested these elections and there is nothing called congress left in the UP.

BJP have won because nobody have contested.

.
if MODI can guarantee no riots will be there under him, then I will vote for him

There is guarantee of nothing brother. But you can check yourself how many riots happen in gujrat before and after 2002. You can take that as guarantee.

BJP drubs Congress in MP civic polls

BHOPAL: The ruling BJP won 36 out of the 49 municipal corporation seats and gave a jolt to the Congress in the Madhya Pradesh urban body elections, the results for which were declared on Monday and Tuesday.

The Congress has been able to win only eight civic bodies while independents registered wins in the remaining five. Many of the seats that the BJP won were traditional bastions of the Congress and in tribal belts known to have been faithful to the latter for decades. The party was also defeated in Rajgarh and Chhindwara - areas under the influence of Congress satraps like AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh, Union minister Kamal Nath and Bhuria. tnn

In the first phase results declared on Monday, the BJP routed the Congress securing 20 of the 27 urban bodies while the Congress managed to hold on to the three municipal committees at Ranapur (Jhabua district), Kukshi (Dhar) and Chhindwara. Independents scored four places including the municipal committees of Sailana (Ratlam), Lakhnadaun (Seoni), Jaisinghnagar (Shahdol) and Pali (Umaria).

Results of the second phase polls spread over 20 districts were declared on Tuesday and the BJP walked away with 16 more urban bodies while the Congress lagged with wins in five bodies and one seat went to an independent.
