:P

Actually even Savarkar would be disappointed. Check this out:
Cow-protection and cow-worship | Vinayak Damodar Savarkar
Cow is worthy of protection so long as this serves humanitarian and national interests

Animals such as the cow and buffalo and trees such as banyan and peepal are useful to man
...
When humanitarian interests are not served and in fact harmed by the cow and when humanism is shamed, self-defeating extreme cow protection should be rejected

The cow should not be the emblem of the Hindu nation

The cow is but a milch symbol of the Hindu nation. By no means should it be considered its emblem (*Savarkar’s exact words are: gaay hi hindurashtraachaa ek dugdhabindu! Maanbindu navhech navhe!). The object of worship should be greater than its worshipper. Likewise, a national emblem should evoke the nation’s exemplary valour, brilliance, aspirations and make its people superhumans! The cow exploited and eaten at will, is an appropriate symbol of our present-day weakness.
Fairly pragmatic viewpoint, we like cows because they are useful to us in many ways. Protect it, if you want to worship it do so, but dont go overboard.

Yogi Adithyanath exaggerates a lot to gain attention.

I SERIOUSLY think BJP and the Sangh Parivaar as a whole need better PR managers. Leave aside the religious issues and just see what kind of unnecessary comments they are making in the tobacco issue, they simply don't need to talk so much.

I have always liked Yogi Adithyanath, this fellow know how to rile up 'secular jihadis'.

Dont wear anything made by your mother's skin.

"Mother of the Nation" or "Rashtra Maata", not national animal (I am not for national animal status also).
And is it wrong to criticize his views?

List of National Symbols of India

National Bird of India: The peacock was declared the National bird of India in 1963, because it was entirely a part of Indian custom and culture. A peacock is a symbol of grace and beauty. Another reason why the peacock was chosen as the National bird was because of its presence across the country, so much so that even common people are familiar with the bird. Moreover, no other country had the peacocok as its national bird either. The peacock fulfilled all these and hence became the national bird of India.
