Tamil parties need to see the benefit of what happened because of Modi ji's invite. So many fishermen from both Pakistan and SL are released without being harmed or tortured.

But Vaiko, Jayalalitha and others won't highlight this achievement because it will destroy their own image as the 'messiahs' of Tamil people.

I was reading an article on the TN parties opposing this invitation and read a few rather interesting comments by sensible TN folks below the article.

Many of them stated that if these politicians are so concerned, why do they have trade, travel and flights between the two countries (from Chennai to Colombo) etc?

Because a lot of the businesses have their own black money involved.

They also reasoned that if they really were that concerned, they would have ceased trading and doing work with them and severed all ties completely especially after the Lankan war.

It was very interesting to see the debate within TN folks who had logically discussed it in the comments itself.
