If the US leaves there is no UN anymore. Same as the League of Nations. You can't have meetings in New York now. Where are they gonna relocate? And the sole super power isn't there for important world decisions.

Bill introduced to remove US from United Nations

congress-returns.jpg

WASHINGTON (WCMH) — A proposed House Resolution would set the stage for the United States to remove itself from the United Nations.

The proposed “American Sovereignty Restoration Act of 2017” is sponsored by Rep. Mike Rogers (R-AL). It was introduced in the House on Jan. 3 and referred to the House Committee on Foreign Affairs, according to the Congress website.

The bill proposes that the United States terminate its membership in the UN, that the UN removes its headquarters from the US, and that the US stops participating in the World Health Organization. Read the full bill here.

Should it pass, the act would take effect two years after it is signed.

Bro, you are not Indian, dont act like one.

Because that way you make a fool out of yourself.

Have a good day :)

If I don't say something you like I act like an indian, who's making a fool out of himself? Your concern regarding what Trump is about to do gives out what you and many like you want and if they can read that the opposite will happen. This is how people with a blabber mouth get their nation in trouble.

You my friend are doing a personal attack on me and making non-sense comments, what interests me is my personal matter.

That is something indians do and that that is what you are doing.

Stop doing that.

LOL :cheesy::omghaha:

and if they can read that the opposite will happen. This is how people with a blabber mouth get their nation in trouble.

How do you even come up with this stuff?

Stop quoting me and my and yours time.

Have a good day.

You have said something and I have given my opinion. That is what happens when you post on a public forum but those who have no argument take it as personal attack. Stop acting like the pinoys.

That Forbes infographic article you quoted does not say the UN actually purchased that $1,647M stuff from the US. It only says it procured it. So you are intentionally misleading people here by saying it purchased it. That $1,647M actually is GIVEN by the US to the UN to help with peacekeeping missions. One of Donald Trump's gripes is that beyond the $500M in membership fees the US pays to the UN the US ALSO gives even more money to support specific operations around the world. He wants to cut THAT amount not the membership. So it's $500M + $1,647M = > $2 Billion (. http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/top-countries-contributing-to-the-united-nations.html <- this article quotes your exact $1,647M number and says it was contributed by the US)

Here's the title of that Forbes article you linked (it doesn't say anything about them actually purchasing billions from the US)

Which Countries Contribute The Most To The United Nations?

The guys that should fear thos the most would be Israel, since if they remain,
they will be subject to decisions of the UNSC, without the US veto which
has protected them again, and again.

I doubt they will leave though.

A succinct post bro. :enjoy:

It sure is. He just proved the US gives over $2B to the UN. He just got his wording wrong.

Check out what that $1,647M number really means

http://www.worldatlas.com/articles/top-countries-contributing-to-the-united-nations.html

Top Countries Contributing To The United Nations
The United States contributes $1.647 Billion USD annually in goods and services to the United Nations.
....
The UN is dependent on contribution of cash, goods and services from its member states to finance and help its activities in the form of voluntary and assessed contributions. Voluntary contributions are left to the discretion of each member state and are used for relief and development work

I told you stop quoting me.

You have officially made a fool out of yourself by making a fuss out of nothing.

Good bye.

Which countries contribute the most to United Nations operations, projects and programmes every year? According to a recently released report, total procurement of goods and services for operational activities of the UN system reached $17.6 billion in 2015, a considerable increase on $13.8 billion back in 2009.

The organisation procured goods and services from 224 different countries and territories last year with 124 of them providing $10 million or more each. The top ten countries supplying the UN system accounted for 44.8 percent of its total procurement volume ($7.9 billion) in 2015.

The United States was the UN's largest contributor last year, accounting for 9.37 percent of its procurement volume with contributions amounting to over $1.6 billion. India has been one of the ten highest contributors since 2000 and it was in second place last year, supplying goods and services worth $1.28 billion. The United Arab Emirates came third with $805 million, ahead of Switzerland and Belgium.

This Forbes article despite uses a title "Contribution", does mention a recently released report, check the link, it's about "Procurement", here it is:

2015 Annual Statistical Report on United Nations Procurement
Original report at https://www.unops.org/SiteCollectionDocuments/ASR/ASR_2015_Full.pdf

What's "procurement"? Check Glossary of Terms on page 4

Extracts and screenshot from Executive Summary, page 10-11:

"the overall procurement volume (goods and services combined) of UN organizations in 2015 increased to $17.6 billion, from $17.2 billion in 2014 ‒ an increase of 2.0 per cent"

"The UN system procured goods and services from 224 different countries and territories in 2015, with 124 of these having an annual procurement volume of more than $10 million each in 2015. The next sections of the ASR summarize the UN system’s performance in increasing opportunities for suppliers in developing countries."

For details of procurement, go Major purchase orders and contracts from UN organisation, from page 615-616, name of US suppliers, description of goods and services, PO value, are listed. Below is a screenshot from page 616:

That $1,647M actually is GIVEN by the US to the UN to help with peacekeeping missions.
One of Donald Trump's gripes is that beyond the $500M in membership fees the US pays to the UN the US ALSO gives even more money to support specific operations around the world. He wants to cut THAT amount not the membership. So it's $500M + $1,647M = > $2 Billion
So you are intentionally misleading people here by saying it purchased it.

UN indeed purchased from US, $1.647 billion of goods and services, who is intentionally misleading people here?

For their illegitimate Child that is Israel US wont leave UN , Some how US is been used to veto any Resolution against Israel and the Jewish Lobby in US is far more strong than the Govt's it self .. UN has failed badly to keep basic Peace let alone doing anything else to prevent wars or humanitarian Aids .. Poverty still exists , Wars are burning cities , Refugee's are living in camps , 5 Countries have Godly powers to select fate of the future World ... UN is a shitty Org which should have been disbanded long ago .. Wars will still be fought with or Without UN but at least than UN can't brush the one sided Point of view as Gospel truth while the blood of other side spills and never been avenged ..
