PTI was never in bed with them, at least from what I've seen and read. Considering PTI is in charge, any action against PTM, without PTM first resorting to violence, would have put PTI in a major political crisis. PTI has been conciliatory, in order to not create major political problems, because the last thing it needs is political instability, especially considering the opposition is looking more and more united by the day. Cracking down on PTM, before PTM commits violence, would have united the opposition under a common cause.

Even this incident, PPP, and JUIF have already offered support to PTM. PMLN is also likely to do so, and if that happens, PTI's government will likely face a lot of domestic pressure.

The question now is, will PTI seek to calm the situation, or crack down against PTM (before things get out of hand). Both actions have their merits and problems, all we can do is wait and see.

I sincerely hope that if a heavy hand is used, PTM doesn't turn into another TTP.

Finally a sane post I read through in all this PTM saga. That what I am afraid too we already has countless enemies inside out side border and now this one, whose fault is long debated topic but Balochistan still bleeding, Karachi is calm but there is still smoke from ashes and could get fire as AH still alive and continually giving calls to re unite etc etc.
Khadim Rizvi Tolla now silent but never know what’s their intentions are.
I am afraid if ANP or Achakzai mulla diesel hijack the situation as all three major parties not on same page with Army in this issue.
Hope sanity prevail.

This is the problem people here dont want to see or understand. Abusing Khan and branding him as the father of all ills is the new norm it seems without realizing that much more is at stake and while our's dont matter, on the other hand a PM's decision would have long term consequence and every aspect will be considered with all stake holders on board before PM can order the Military to go Gun Blazing.
If anyone listened to DGISPR, even he did not used harsh words, in fact his tone was very conciliatory. Apparently the army understands the long term repercussions and does not want to do a military action. Khan sb would not do either without the military on board despite the so called criticism.
