Bhai kyun becharo ko jala rahe ho Indian maal dikha ke
They are happy riding their 100 cc Hondas and Yamaha's and paying 200 cc prices for them

if Bajaj was launched under a Pakistani Name like Bhutto auto or Raheel Auto,
Then Yamaha, Honda and Suzuki would be forced to shut shop in Pakistan

@Mr.Nair @danish_vij why hijack this thread? This thread is about the bike scene in Pakistan. Pakisanis already know they get shyte bikes in their country and are being taken for a ride by these companies, no need to rub it in their face and spam this thread.

There are a number of local brands in Pakistan which have tried to launch heavier models in Pakistan but the local market prefers smaller displacement engines because biking is seen as a poor man's chore rather than a hobby.

For example:

However, none of these could break into the 70cc segment which accounts for over 80% of two wheeler sales in Pakistan.

Yamaha is simply playing it smart. If Pakistanis really want to see some kickass cars or bikes in Pakistan (to the extent you see them in India), either 1. Easy imports from foreign nations, preferably India or China 2.Some local players or some other global players stepping in and jumping up the ladder.

As of now, Pakistan is slowly moving up the ladder, few years from now, 125 CC engines, disc brakes, alloy wheels etc will become the norm. Later on it'll 150 CC etc and so on.......................

Be calm and wait boys!

Good initiative. This will force Honda to produce today's generation bikes, otherwise they will be out of market. Heard lots of positive for this new Yamaha model.

I have really no clue about the motor bike scene in Pakistan. But 125 cc is really under powered; a good bike starts at 600 and above. What is the cost 600 cc bike in Pakistan in USD?
