The problem with Pakistan Motorcycle industry is lack of affordable available options to customer. Chinese bikes are doing well but they lack in standard as compared to Yamaha and Honda bikes.
I fully agreed that 125s design is decade old and have many issues associated with it but please tell me what are other option available to the customer which has 60 to 70k in his pocket. After some struggle he merely reached to 1 lakh.

Same goes with car industry. Government should have to take action. This monopoly of few corporations should end.

This segment is similar to electrical fan, washing machine and to a certain extent fridge/deep freezer industry. Some tractors are also in the same category. Dewan Group tried to market a clone of Massey Ferguson by leveraging vendors developed by Millat but Millat was successful in stopping them by suing and also by integrating vertically so access to key parts such as engine blocks was blocked. Honda was not able to or did not want to do the same. They still get a premium for quality but now they need to introduce new and higher end models to maintain market share. In total Pakistan produces nearly 2 million bike annually and exports quiet a bit.

Joining the Pulsar league will be the Pulsar 180NS, which will also share styling with the 200NS and will be based on a perimeter frame. It is expected to get a 180cc, four-valve, liquid-cooled engine with triple spark technology that is likely to produce around 19-21bhp and 16Nm of torque. It will be paired to a five-speed gearbox. The bike is likely to go on sale by early 2016.

Bajaj Auto is also planning to enter into the powerful 400cc bike segment. The company will launch the production spec Pulsar SS400 concept, which was unveiled at the 2014 Delhi Motor Show. Its a lovely bike. The first time I rode one, I had a huge silly smile plastered wide across my face. Unstoppable.

Have owned three since then. Sold two and kept my first.
