Biggest Ever Hack at Finance Ministry Reveals State Secrets

the legendary ammar jafri, lol

Just get the government to shift to Linux. It can do everything Microsoft does, better.

This may be the start of regime change operations by targeting state institutions.
inn ko typing nahi, ppt banana nahi aati, command line kahan say chalaen gay? the babus will take this country down with them.

talking of cyber security, these secretaries, the glorified clerks in grade 22, dont even know how a network infra is established, they think that once a company wins a tender they will come and install it right away, and dont realize that said company will have to order servers, routers, switches etc from OEMs, and the OEMs will have to produce and supply them in ordered to be installed. these idiots also dont know what a server is in the first place and why a firewall is needed. jackasses.

i am curious, how do you know this guy?

This is just the beginning, more hacks are about to get go

I have also asked an other hacker (Pakistani) and guess what ? He said they can do much more but as soon as they do it police or FIA knocks at their door and tells them not to be cyber criminals.
Is this the guy who got offered a job by the government of India? Or was he just a script kiddie or PR representative for the group of ministry of defence spies which were recently busted.

EDIT: Just saw your other reply. It is indeed the same person. I have also been observing them for a while - he has posted General Bajwa's passport, LoC infiltration videos, JF-17 docs, and a whole lot of stuff.

Pakistani cyber security is not a joke, it's an entire circus. Gov't officials using pirated software, clicking rubbish links, half the official websites haven't been updated since 2007, and when a Pakistani hacker dares to retaliate, the LEAs come to his house and ask him to behave himself.

Most of it has been non sensitive stuff.

But Linux has plenty of holes too, so we would need computer scientists and OS programmers to plug them and create a better version.

Not that this Mofo who can easily be picked up by interpol.

There was nothing extraordinary of this chootiya looking Hacker. The vulnerability already existed and so were the tools to exploit it. They were simply using pirated (cracked) software with little no information about firewalls and data security.

Unsurprinsgly, when you hire sifarshi people on such BPS-16 and BPS-17 posts as Babus, what else do you expect?

Vulnerabilities exist on every OS, some may have more and some may have less, having a good network security is imperative followed by system security. The recent Solarwind's hack tells us no system is perfect but following good SOP you can mitigate these.

The one which happened with FBR could have been easily avoided.
