Yes, China is a monster, and we Chinese are just aliens coming to destroy Earth; while Vietnam is saint safeguarding the Earth. Satisfied.

More seriously, can you be more dramatic? If you listen to negative news magnified by the western media, day in and day out, you will have very negative views about China. Copying is 1st step of a developing nation to develop its indigenous technology, we learned from Japan. Poison? so we Chinese are all criminals that like to poison each other? Or are you talking about contaminated food by some very very small group of unethical businessmen? This happens everywhere, but the media loves to dramatize those that occur in China. Plus, China is a huge country that is going through industrialization while regulations lag behind. We will face those problems and I think most Chinese realize that.

What about for specific groups that do not have any history of persecution? Like the native Malaysians giving AA for themselves over minority simply because the minorities are harder workers or more intelligent? Should Singapore give AA for Indians and Malaysians?

At the same time their is more discrimination going on against Asian Americans than anyone else. Even White people get AA when it comes to Asians.

malaysians ae oppressing their minorities, but remember that they are of a particular religion.
in US African americans are given reservation because they are acknowledged to have been persecuted and the govt is trying to use education to bring them on par socially.. wrong?
Also there is some reservation for economically backward people as it is considered that they would not have had the same opportunities as more well off. is that racist?
AA may seem unfair but in the long run it may be beneficial if applied correctly.

Affirmative action is not racist, only a forward idea with a backwards result. It was created to encourage minorities to attend college since a much, much smaller demographics of blacks and hispanics attend college than whites and asians. It's not perfect, it has controversies, but it's not racist.

Even with AA working against asians, if you can't get in Harvard, you can still get in Yale, Princeton, UC Berkeley, etc. There's many exceptional universities in the US.
