Pakistan’s Defense Production: More Efficient than India, Why?

Indian Vice Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Sarath Chand has recently acknowledged that Pakistan’s Defense Production base is bigger and working more efficiently than India. He pointed out that Pakistan exports more defense products than its much larger rival in the east. He blamed “lack of accountability” as the reason for a weak military industrial base in his country.


Pakistan and India, regional rivals locked in an existential battle since the troubling division of British Empire in South Asia, have been in an arms race for the past many decades. This arms race ranges from the import of latest weaponry, nuclear capabilities and increasing indigenous production. As an economic extension of this battle both Pakistan and India have also started exporting military products that include tanks, aircraft, and warships in addition to a range of smaller weapons.



“There is no competition whatsoever… I would even go to the extent of saying that Pakistan probably has a better industrial base, as far as defense production is concerned, than our country. In fact, they export defense equipment abroad, definitely more than what we are doing,”-Lieutenant General Sarath Chand

Defective Indian Ammo Damages US-Made Artillery Gun, First Imported In 30 Years

A joint investigation team from the Army and BAE Systems is probing the incident. Both of them are the manufacturers of the howitzer.


Indian Army's first imported artillery gun M777 ultra-light American howitzer was damaged during after a 155mm artillery round misfired and exploded in the barrel during a drill on September 2.

The shell was manufactured by the Defence Ministry's Ordnance Factory Board (OFB) exploded, reported NDTV.

The test was being done in Rajasthan's Pokhran range when a shell which was being fired exited the barrel in multiple pieces, the report adds.

Pakistan needed fighters desperately. So they mass operate outdated Block2 which is yet to mature.

If your IAF think Block-2 is out dated like you then you will be loosing planes against JFT if a war broke tomorrow between two.

Please do take a look at SIPRI, they spend a lot of time analyzing weapons exports from one country to another. And please do compare Ranks of Pakistan and India. You will understand why your superior defense industrial base couldn't make an export market.

They are training them for HARA KIRI missions like Japanese in WW-II or the suicidal missions called BLITZKRIEG by the Nazis...one way street, point of no return.
