To add to this further, I remember recently in world cup India was eliminated from the finals race, this lead to huge downfall in earnings from viewership and loss for advertizers and organizers. As much hypocrite as it sounds, reality is that Indian are there only to watch few Indian players taking shots and bowling.

Exactly - ICC event generated revenue should be distributed fairly while domestic league revenue goes directly to the respective boards organizing the events. So what's the problem with the ICC proposal?

Well the definition of fairly is already unfair when it comes to BCCI which generates over 80% of the revenue and gets less than 21% revenue.

Well then please explain why artists especially the headliners at Coachella get paid way more than the other "regular" artists performing? What is the justification there?
Also, music festivals work on line ups.
If you take the example of Governors ball in NYC, its revenue and ticket sales have dropped the last 3 years due to the lack of elite line ups.

On a separate note, FIFA is a bad comparison because advertising revenue is not generated through TV ads. A 90 min game has one interval. Revenue is more sponsorship based, which is a very different model.

ICC takes full revenue of its own hosted events (Like world cup -in any format, champions trophy etc.) and pays from its own wallet as well.

Actually without ICC India is nothing. Rest of the world can just get on by playing with each other like it did before India started to contribute anything. Just with less funds but India will get 0.
