You don't need gang of thugs at BCCI helm, but you cannot also have lame ducks at BCCI. The supreme court appointed panel is good for nothing.

I know that the Indian board is the main contribute to the ICC revenue but in long run no single board or even a small group should be allowed to control the body that is meant to control cricket WORLDWIDE!

I think what happened is excellent for cricket. Also i hope we can stop the stupid act of bringing just 8 or 10 teams in main event. The numbers should gradually increase as this is the only way to promote cricket. I mean, we all loved watching Afghanistan playing the last world cup. It will be sad that the teams like Afghanistan and Ireland are confined to just playing against each other. We need them in mega events to add that uncertainty factor and extra spice. That will improve there game as well and overall, CRICKET will be the winner.

Australia and England have realized what needs to be done to save Cricket.

ICC can and so can the respective boards. Say if India leaves ICC(which is never happening), do you think other boards will allow their players to play in IPL? They will never issue NOC's in the first place.
You might have some West Indian players though.

I would disagree, Supreme Court of India has done well to keep a hold on corrupt personnel in BCCI and IPL. They even banned two teams if i am not wrong.

Ahem... Ahem BCCI to please you --> India is going to make $400 mil within 3 months of IPL.

For other Members India is needed for their survival. BCCI is not in need of ICC for survival. IPL itself generates enough money then all other boards combined (without India).

Hypothetically speaking what would happen if ICC orders its other members not to send players to IPL...wouldn't IPL see a dip in its revenue without foreign star players? Another thing isn't a lot of hype about IPL because of players from the Indian National team? wouldn't that take a hit too?

You might have some West Indian players though.

If that happens, Cricket scene will get more federated. India with few more countries will play a separate league of Cricket and ICC and their partners (UK/Australia) will play a separate league of cricket. You will still have series like Sharjah cup where individual teams will clash. Heck possibly Indian companies like FlipKart, Reliance and TATA will start their own cups and invite teams from all over the world to make money. As for national boards of cricket in individual countries, they know which side of the bread has more butter and will play 'Do not politicize cricket' card and will play in both the matches in India with Indian team and with in ICC world cup and other ICC events. ICC will surely lose a lot of appeal as their pot of money will become really small.

Lastly, you are forgetting, if ICC looses India, they will not like to lose even a SINGLE country/board further. In this case they will give tacit approval to participate to their members so long they stick with ICC.

You are getting emotional, BCCI is never leaving ICC, never, never , never. You will most likely see BCCI making further arrangements with ICC in coming months.
