I think it is really important for you to open such a thread on this topic. We cannot help this situtaiton nless w know all the facts. I also heard of their plight in such regions. Its hard to believe that some middle class ppl who live a decewnt life with access to everything have no clue how millions in India live. The two states mentuioned have extreme corruption and poverty. The CM;s of both states are involved in shady dealings. Time to put them under the scanner but because of this democracy we have, its hard for the central govt to do so without damaging its coalition style politics.
The sitation is very dark and in stark contrast to the people all ova the country!

all the efforts by the state government for the development of these areas is nullified and is wasted because of the presence of naxals!
Also the thing ppl fail to understand is that the main cause for all this maoist threat is unemployment and lack of education.
the uneducated ppl are very easily brainwashed by the maoists and taken into their confidence who then become "cadres' and join them!
These maoists are very staunch and can go to any lenghts to get their targets achieved..
they blow up schools in these areas on the pretext tht police forces camp in the school buildings during LRP(long range patrolling), bt the reality is that they do not want ppl and children to get educated as education can lead to their downfall and the villagers can understand their politics..n then they can work independently,also they take huge amounts of money frm companies wich are involved in development works in these areas as "protection money" wich doesnt allow the building of roads and infrastructure to be completed!
they say tht the govt is looting the tribals of their land and rights but in reality they are looting the ppl frm their basic right of development!
Also they see police personnel as their enemy as they work on the ideoloy tht "Satta bandook ki naal se nikalti hai."
these maoists have caused deaths of over thousands of police and CRPF personels wich is higher than personnel killed fighting crime and other criminals in the state of Jharkhand!
