Biden and Harris Could Be Bad News for India’s Modi

.
For now I am happy Bengal gave Modi 18 Member of Parliament to ensure he became PM again :D
Look at the poll numbers - he didn't even need Bengal. Just like Bengal doesn't need him. Hahaha

. . . .
They have internal politics to contend with too. So if Modi keeps pushing his divisive agenda, they will act. He will have to rein it in. Overall, far better than having that orange idiot at the helm.
What orange idiot ? The guy is a great POTUS.

Israeli - Arab peace deal.
Serbia - Kosovo peace deal.
Afghanistan peace deal and pullout.
No regime change in Syria, destroyed the caliphate and got his men out.
First POTUS since Jimmy carter to not start a war.
Initiated a historic dialogue with DPRK leadership.

Those are the important things that matter to people who are not citizens of the US.. BIG LEAGUE PEACE ! (compared to the neocon Bush and neolib Obama/Clinton administrations)

Domestic policy wise he kept all his promises to his voters. Integrity, rare for a politician.

A yugely popular figure globally, a very charismatic and dynamic guy if a bit rough around the edges but that is a feature, not a bug.

A good man, is Mr Trump. Outside of insane left winger circle jerks, he will be sorely missed should the courts there rule against him as he challenges the election results.

VP Kamla and the first living corpse president of the US are not going to get Modi/Shah to reign anything in. The CAA is here to stay, and article 370 is gone forever and will not be restored.

Not looking good for Trump's chances but technically it's still not over. He'll still leave a great legacy regardless.

Lol. Sure. Kowtowing to despots. Jailing little children. Building a wall which "Mexico will pay for". Repealing DACA. Pulling out of Climate deals. Scuttling a peace deal with Iran. All significant achievements.

And he did more to contain china than ANY president before him.

He made the Quad a reality even while punishing India with trade restrictions.

His only failure was CoVid-19 and that is something you can directly blame China for.

But as an Indian, I am glad he is gone. Biden and Kamal might "preach religious freedom" but is going to help us build trade with the US and improve people to people contact with more visas and ease of travelling.

We just have to grin and put up with their preaching "values" to us.
Did they ever finish first? In 70 years?

How did you think Modi became PM ? TWICE ? :D

You're making the emotional case with the usual lefty tropes.

Initiating a historic dialogue with the DPRK for settling a 70 year old war and a nuclear weapons issue and talking frankly to the Sauds about terrorism and terrorist ideology isn't exactly what you refer to as "Kowtowing to despots."

He actually built that wall and kept his election promise. Obama built the cages. Trump only enforced the law but later eased off on it.

DACA and illegal immigration is an internal US problem. Don't have a strong opinion on it apart from I understand why Americans want it to stop. Trump campaigned on it and kept his promises, it's called integrity.

The climate deal, as I understand it, penalized America and imposed crushing environmental laws on their own companies and in their own country while we here in India and our Chinese neighbours (and others), the world's biggest polluters got away scot free basically. This lead to major job losses and the American oil worker/miner out of a job. Renewable "green" energy is just not cost efficient enough at the moment to dump fossil fuels. Trump achieved energy independence for his country.

Obama's Iran deal had a shelf life, post which the mullahs would have had a free run to the bomb. Trump wants to renegotiate a permanent solution. Most of the rest of the big players in the middle east backed Trump's move.

Trump:

no new wars, peace deals all over the place, renegotiated trade deals to be fairer to them, spoke his mind on security issues that plague the world.. Brash and rough around the edges as he is, man's an independent thinker.. kept the neocon war-hawks at bay, worked on the illegal immigration problem to his country.

A GREAT POTUS, nobody's ever seen anything like that. A real guy too.. love his "folks, I gotta tell ya.. I meet all these presidents and kings and prime ministers..." style at rallies.

Who the hell cares about illegal mexican drug mule aliens locked in cages in Texas ? Look instead at what he did on the world stage.. Trump is awesome ! (not saying this from an Indian perspective at all, btw. he was real tough on us on trade and immigration, senile corpse biden might actually be better for India if you think about it)

1. Nothing happened with North Korea.

2. Hardly anything has been built. And whatever has been built has not been paid for by Mexico.

I haven't even begun on fracking and "beautiful, clean coal".
