You cannot fake your "caste" in rural areas of punjab and sindh, everyone knows who you are and who your ancestors were in the villages of punjab and sindh. The urban areas are a totally different case where caste faking is quite common phenomenon.

Caste in punjab means "zaat" or "baradari" and it is a reality in rural and semi urban areas of punjab. And no one made pakistan to get rid of zaat or baradari, this is BS to say this. There is a reason you see people with family names like rana, malik, gujjar, khokhar, chaudry, awan, butt, niazi etc. People have always been proud of their zaat or baradari in punjab.
