  • Young Bhutto moved to USA in 1950's to get political Degree

During the Partition of India in 1947, the Muslim Nawab of Junagarh wanted to accede his state to the newly created Pakistan, but he faced rebellion by the population of Junagadh, majority of whom were Hindus. The Indian government thwarted Junagadh's accession to Pakistan, and the Bhuttos fled to Sindh in modern-day Pakistan. Shah Nawaz Bhutto moved to Larkana District in Sindh, where his land-ownership made him one of the wealthiest and most influential people in Sindh. Beginning the political dynasty, Shah Nawaz's third son Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (1928-1979) founded the Pakistan People's Party (PPP) in 1967 and served as President and Prime Minister. He married an Iranian-Kurdish woman named Nusrat Bhutto. His daughter, Benazir (1953-2007), also served as Prime Minister, while Benazir's husband, Asif Ali Zardari, later served as president from 2008 to 2013. The Bhuttos continue to dominate the leadership of the PPP. Benazir's son Bilawal Bhutto Zardari became co-chairperson in 2007

Sir Shah Nawaz Bhutto, (Urdu: شاہ نواز بهُٹو‎), CIE, OBE, OBI (8 March 1888 – 19 November 1957) (Sindhi: شھنواز ڀٽو‎)
Dewan of Junagadh
Early in 1947, Bhutto joined the council of ministers of Muhammad Mahabat Khan III the Nawab of Junagadh in the modern-day province of Gujarat, becoming its Dewan, or prime minister in May.

At the time of the independence of India in 1947, the princely states were asked by the British to decide whether to join the newly independent states of India or Pakistan or to remain autonomous and outside them. The Constitutional Advisor to the Nawab, Nabi Baksh, indicated to Lord Mountbatten that he was recommending that the State should join India. However, the Nawab did not make a decision. Early in 1947, Bhutto was invited to join the Council of Ministers of the Nawab. In May, when the Dewan Abdul Khadir Muhammad Hussain went abroad for medical treatment, Bhutto was appointed as the Dewan. On 15 August 1947, the State announced that it had acceded to Pakistan. On 13 September 1947, the Government of Pakistan accepted the accession.

However, the Hindu citizens of the State revolted, leading to several events and also a plebiscite, resulting in the integration of Junagadh into India. Nawab Muhammad Mahabat Khan III of Junagadh (erstwhile Babi nawab dynasty of Junagadh) fled to Sindh, Pakistan. As Dewan of Junagarh; it was he who wrote and signed the letter addressed to Indian Government to come and take over the administration of the Junaghadh sate.

Shah Nawaz Bhutto moved to Larkana District, where his land-ownership made him the wealthiest and most influential people in Sindh. Bhutto was a good friend of Governor General (later President) Iskander Mirza, who was a regular guest for the annual hunt in Larkana, staying at the Bhutto family home called Al-Murtaza. In the winter of 1955-1956, Mirza brought General Ayub Khan with him to Larkana for the hunt.

Later Bhutto Family became connected with Iran when Bhutto married a Iranian Lady from Tehran Iran

The merger was possible as during the time 1947-1970 both Pakistan/Iran were seen as very close nations who had great ties culturally and politically

. .
Well I personally did not knew Bhutto family were a muhajir family :coffee:
They tend to portray themselves as local natives

Now I know, Pakistan Studies book does not state this fact clearly
Bhutto family were muhajir from Junagarh , India and used their money to buy land after migration

Which is cool , completely 100% normal thing to do

And Bhutoo blood line has Iranian heritage which is interest but nothing extra ordinary

Well , just feel they hide their background a bit and nothing wrong with saying they migrated from India

After all this ..... they stopped funding of Karachi , hmmmm shocking

I think that is rubbish. They are Sindhi and at partition might have been working in Junagadh. That way my grandfather was a soldier stationed in Meerut before 1947 and just before August 1947 his unit moved to rawlpindi. Does that make him a Mohajor? Of course not.

.
It is historic account

Came from India , guess who is that little boy on right side ?

Well based on the , stubbornness , I always thought that the Bhutto clan was some sort of labor or farming clan , but it seems they were royalty who fled India bought land in Pakistan
and then gave farming job to local farmers becoming their new care takers

Technically a Muhajir family and of course 100% Pakistani

All the inefficiency and corruption we see today in government, in the steel mills, in PIA, country divided into half have their roots in the destructive policies of Bhutto reign in those days. No, Sir, we can never forget nor forgive you for what you did to Pakistan, all you have done just for your politics.
I love my army who bravely fight the odd war in 1971 . My Salute to them.Wish I also was a part among them.

.
They call Imran Khan Taliban Khan , but lets check their own family tree

Bhutto is a sindhi caste of northern sindh, they are an indigenous agricultural caste. Their counterparts in adjoining south punjabi saraiki area are called Bhutta, both Bhutto of norther sindh and Bhutta of south punjab are one and the same people just belonging to two different linguistic groups. "a" to "o" caste name ending change is quite common between sindh and south punjab, for example "sumro" of sindh is same as "sumra" of south punjab, "khoso" of sindh same as "khosa" of south punjab etc.. ZA Bhutto father must have been working in junagardh, his caste name and land ownership in larkana with family name "Bhutto" clearly points to his indigenous sindhi origins, their whole family was always proficient in sindhi language, even Benazeer was also proficient in sindhi language, she even used to make speeches in sindhi language in sindh during election campaigns of 90s often shown on PTV which I personally watched.

Nothing wrong to come from India and buy farm land in Sindh completely normal and learn Sindhi

Now it is established they are Muhajirs , they should help release the development fund for Karachi I don't think their is any issue anymore
