GAYA: Imam Ansari, 55, a resident of Silgaur village of Bhagalpur district has been detained for his attempt to fax a letter seeking job from the US President Barack Obama. The letter written in Urdu has been seized.
The man arrived from Bhagalpur, on Friday morning and went to a Bodh Gaya based cyber cafe and asked the Cyber Cafe owner to fax a letter to US President Obama. The Cyber Cafe owner got suspicious and informed the local police, which, in turn took the man into custody.
Confirming the detention of the Bhagalpur man, City SP Rakesh Kumar said that preliminary inquiry reveals that the man is of unsound mental health and some prescriptions of Ranchi based Psychiatrist has been found with him. The police got the transcript of the Urdu letter and it pertained to job.
According to sources, the man told police that Obama promised him job and now that the American President was visiting India, he wanted to remind the US President of his commitment. The Bhagalpur man continues to be in detention and he is likely to be further quizzed by intelligence agencies and sleuths of the Anti Terrorist Squad of the state.
