If you are right, then why it is necessary to place false grass turfs on top of the holes? Will it protect those troops that take shelter there? Dig-holes without grass turfs would do a job of temporary shelter for the troops, though.

The holes are also too deep to aim and fire mortar shells. Do you think troops can maneuver mortars without seeing the enemy targets? A deep hole does not serve any purpose other than Booby Trap or the like. It may also be a temporary shelter for the arms among other uses. But, it is not trench for waging a war.

You have amalgamated everything. I ask you the following:

1) If for keeping the arms hidden, why it is necessary to cover the hole with grass turfing. Does camouflaging serve that purpose?
2) If it is the fighting force hiding in foxholes, what is the purpose of training and paying the soldiers for more than twenty years? They have to face enemy troops by digging long trenches and taking shelter and firing behind the dug-out soil or taking up positions in other suitable defensive positions. Hiding in foxholes is probably the most laughable argument a man can propose.
3) See again the foxholes. These are too deep for firing from mortars. The operators have to see their target enemy positions.
