Betrayed by India: The tale of the Pakistani Hindu refugee

Tell you what Omar, you take Geelani and his ilk from Kashmir, and in return we ll take all the Hindus, Hazaras, Qadianis and settle them in Kashmir.

You ll have your nice aryan stock sunni muslim Kashmiris and we ll give refuge to whoever is being persecuted in Pakistan. Win win situation! :woot:

Once again you guys are getting ahead of yourself.
You can't even take care of a few Hindus refuges, how will you care for anyone else?
Man forget the refugees, you can't even take care of your indigenous minorities.
Most Indian members here seem to think that India is some first world country, instead of a piss poor 3rd world country that it really is.
And that is not an insult, Pakistan is the same. The difference is that most Pakistanis live in reality while most Indians seem to think that shining India will solve all the world's problems.

Goes to show how confused Hindutwa is..
A religion which cannot decide which side to choose..split between Atheism and secularism and has no identity of its own..
At least we muslims know which side we are on,we have a well defined identity,we take sides with Muslims, at least we are on some definite side..
Poor Hindus lol.....If they decide to support Hindus on basis of religion they are afraid of losing their secularism..so what's they point in anybody in being a Hindu? You live a life of confusions and no identity.....No wonder young Hindus don't give a toss and aare totally non religious..or convert to other religions.

These Pakistano hindus thought they will be given special tratment in a Hindu majority country, but they realized at a great cost that Indian Hindus have no blanket brotherhood on the basis of Hindutwa..Unlike we Muslims who have it..

Its not all that bad. People who came from Pakistan in 1947 today own some of the most expensive real estates in New Delhi.

You guys didn't treat em well in your country, and now thanks to your non state actors the visa regime got even stricter. Give them a break eh. Their only mistake perhaps was that they decided to stick around in 1947 hoping for Jinnah's secular Pakistan.

Bro, I know English might be a difficult language for you to understand, otherwise why else would you keep changing the topic?
So lets try this one more time.
In Pakistan Hindus are treated badly by some uncivilized and uneducated people. The Hindus flee to India, where they are treated equally as bad, but it's by the government.
They are treated badly in both Pakistan and India.
You don't seem to be understanding this.

This is the topic we are talking about. Not about 47 or 99 or 104.
I hope you understand, if you didn't I can only give you some links to some ESL lessons.

What are you even on about? What has this got to do with Hinduism?

Why hasn't Pakistan given citizenship to Muslim Bengalis in Karachi and the stranded Muslim Biharis living in Pakistan? Isn't your country the Islamic Republic?

Being secular doesn't mean you open the floodgates and let everyone in. Resources are limited.

I Think u don't know the difference between citizens and migrants , hindus are the citizens pakistan where as indian migrants in US Are still the citizen of india

Those indian migrants who come to USA become American citizens after a while. First its visa, then green card, and then citizenship after 6-7 years. While hindus who have migrated since decades to india are not being given indian citizenship and are even denied basic necessities like health care.

They are treated badly in both Pakistan and India.

The missing point: they were Pakistani citizens, prior to fleeing Pakistan and they are not Indian citizens even after crossing into India. India has no responsibility for those who aren't our citizens.

Seriously save me your "english no good" banter. You must be a fob or something, fobs are the ones who always come up with the get english lessons "argument". Very juvenile.

As I said, Asylum seekers are free to come, and the government will provide them with whatever support they can, depending on whatever resources we have, and the citizenship will be awarded on a case to case basis.

As long as their life is not in danger, they are in a better environment already.

thousands of Biharis and mohajirs are the stranded and still longing for the dream of living with brotherhood but unfortunetly they are the biggest loosers .

In Karachi, they have jobs and legal status....May be some havent a legal stratus but they are not living in Drain pipes like the Poor Migrant Hindus..
We have our humanity still intact..Unlike Hindus of India,

thousands of Biharis and mohajirs are the stranded and still longing for the dream of living with brotherhood but unfortunetly they are the biggest loosers .
Those who made it to Pakistan havent been deported and Pakistan officially geve many of them houses and jobs in Okara Punjab..Its well documented.
What India has done for these migrant hindus? well...Nothing.

India can Shout out loud on Rinkel conversion..but if Rinkel ever went to india for protection, she would have found herself living in drain pipe...
Well she is a wise girl and chose well.

Anyway..i don't want to disrespect any religion, that's not what i normally do...But the thing is that too much garbage is being thrown at our religion...Its time we start returning the favour.

Shame on the Indian government, and particularly the ruling party, for not doing more to help these unfortunate human beings.

Since India accepted the partition in 1947, which was demanded on a communal basis, it is incumbent on India to help those minorities who are caught on the wrong side of the border.

A religion

Hindutwa is an ideology.

which cannot decide which side to choose..split between Atheism and secularism and has no identity of its own..

Hindusim is split between secularism and Atheism, if that were true, thats the sweetest thing that can happen to Hinduism.

At least we muslims know which side we are on,we have a well defined identity,we take sides with Muslims, at least we are on some definite side..

We saw it Bengal, Xinjiang etc.

Poor Hindus lol.....If they decide to support Hindus on basis of religion they are afraid of losing their secularism..

If you are trying to say that Hindus are secular, thats the sweetest compliment coming from you people.

so what's they point in anybody in being a Hindu?

So people follow a religion with the point being expectation of a sense of brotherliness among fellow followers? Do you follow Islam for that reason?

You live a life of confusions and no identity

The major problem in Pakistan , you equate religion to your identity,

.....No wonder young Hindus don't give a toss and aare totally non religious..or convert to other religions.

Good to see they have the freedom to do so.

These Pakistano hindus thought they will be given special tratment in a Hindu majority country, but they realized at a great cost that Indian Hindus have no blanket brotherhood on the basis of Hindutwa..

Pakistani Hindus most probably fleed to

Unlike we Muslims who have it..

Who is we here?

We have our humanity still intact..Unlike Hindus of India,

 You mean this photo?

Read the caption, "In a photo from 1971, a Hindu refugee from Pakistan stands outside her makeshift home in Calcutta. Getty Images". Those are the refugees that poured into India thanks to the shenanigans of your mighty Pakistani Army, read genocide in East Pakistan.

Rest assured, no Pakistani Asylum Seeker lives like that in India anymore.

And there are about 1-3 Million illegal Bengalis in Pakistan. They might have work, but they don't have legal citizenship.

Shows your lack of knowledge and frustration..shame on you are a senior member here.

Yes they are in India but your government is not helping them being indian citizens so they can live the life rest of hindus of india live in india, like getting jobs and access to health care, etc..
Even after 13 years if the guy reluctantly waits with the hope of getting a INDIAN passport suggest that he and his family and n number of other Hindus are treated so badly they prefer to stay in INDIA rather than get back to Pakistan and suffer the continuing humiliation and injustice that is being done in Pakistan

Pakistani Hindus in India unwilling to return

hindu--555.jpg

“We know that our stay is illegal, but we do not want to go back to Pakistan” says 70-year old Mulakh Raj. He has been living in Jalandhar with his wife and eight children since 1997 after migrating from Sialkot in Pakistan.

“There is nothing left for us in Pakistan. We feel safe and have a more dignified life in India,” he says.

Buaditta Mal, who has come from Sialkot, says, “People at our native place make fun of us and interfere in our religious congregations. They even throw away idols of gods and goddesses. If we protest, they beat us up.”

Sammakh Ram came from Peshawar in 1998 and settled at Jalandhar along with his family members. “You cannot imagine the plight of minorities in Pakistan. They have no rights. We will never return,” he says emphatically.
