My top eight is:

1. Taare Zameen Par (fantastic...Amir Khan does it again!!)
2. Guru (brilliant and inspiring)
3. Black Friday (a gritty take on the serial blasts)
4. Jab We Met (brilliant love story)
5. Johnny Gaddaar (some unconventional brilliance)
6. Chak De India (finally a good hindi sports movie)
7. Manorama 6 Feet Under (film noir)
8. Om Shanti Om (pure frivolous timepass)

...and please don't make the mistake of watching the following:

1. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (three hours of mental torture)
2. Cash (Oh my god....if stupidity could kill....)
3. Salaam-e-Ishq (Salaam-e-boredom)
4. RGV ki Aag (useless....pretentious)

rani mukerjee's film
Laga Chunri Me Dag
very touching story very good songs and very nicely made. Touching the subject of unemployment in India amongst young women being forced into prostitution....

I watched "Bhool Bhulaiyaa". Even though it was a remake, it did better than the Tamil movie "chandramukhi", but was't up to the orginal malayalam make "manichitharathazhu".
