BEST BATTLESHIPS IN THE WORLD(PRESENT OR FUTURE)

. .
according to me the second world war Germany had built two ships one "Bismarck" and other was "Tirpitz". both were fantastic and the story of both ships are also nice. in operation of killing tirpitz first there were send of human torpedoes then after they send the small submarines. the soldiers who were blasted the mine below ship of tirpitz by commando operation, after ending of the war the britain prince call for the bravos first who did that operation for giving medals.

but if you want best warship ever..its offcourse Zumwalt Class..

The Yamatos were badly designed and overweight (one rudder for a 70,000 ton vessel?). The Iowa class's 16 inch guns had similar performance to to the Yamato's 18 inchers, the ships themselves were several knots faster (vital for carrier group operations), had FAR better anti-aircraft armament, better fire control (vital in combat) and better damage control. In reality, though, by WW2 battleships were only useful for shore bombardment and for lending extra AA capacity to a carrier group. Midway proved the carrier was the Queen of the seas.

In terms of modern destroyers, the South Korean Sejong The Great class has to be up there. It's basically a bigger Burke with more missiles.

You should've been aware that a Battleship defines a spcific class of warship, perhaps you should have entitled this threaf "best warships in the world....."

+I would never put the Type 45 anywhere near the top of the list. On papaer it seems like a awseome ship but because of cost ovverruns and budget cuts it has turned out to be a white elephant. The ships have been launched with out CIWS and other vital modern weapon systems. It is a good Air defence ship but it would struggle in surface-surface warfare.
