Beneath the radar, a Russia-Pakistan entente takes shape

Do you Indians not understand that the only interest in our neighbourhood that America has is firstly to contain China and secondly for American corporations to skim profits from oil pipeline. In this they wish to appoint India as its regional proxy policeman to look after its interests.

Now Iran China Pakistan and Russia do not like this vision of the Americans.

This American proposal was first postulated by Americans in 2004 and was dismissed as a bad idea. With recent failures in Afghanistan it is certainly a Plan B. The Americans mooted their grand Silk Road idea at the Turkish Conference on Afghanistan. None of the countries surrounding Afghanistan were dismissive of it. Even India who benefits from it stayed quiet.

Americans and Indians need to realise that India does not have a border with Afghanistan.

Let me be the oracle and telll you what will happen. In due course China will be connected and India wont through the pipelines through Pakistan. Chinese will be more competitive. In due course for their economy Indians will make concessions on Kashmir in return for real transit through Pakistan.

You Indians will now burn and not like that and get excited and I shall have a cigar and some coffee. lol

India Accuses Pakistan of Spreading Terrorism , So Does Iran & Afghanistan,Even China has Pointed a Link of Pakistan with Uyghur Muslims Uprising in Xinjiang , So Has Russia accused Pakistan few Years ago about Supporting Chechen Terrorist ... Does it Mean that All of these Joining Hand Against Pakistan ...

USA Doesnt enjoy the Same relationship with India that Russia enjoys ... It wont get Same as Russia even if USA & India Goes Hand in hand for another 2 decade ... Even at the Height of Cold war when Russia was a Super Power & India's Probably Only Friend in West , they Could not or Did not Dictate any thing to India... Cozz India never Goes Easy on being a Puppet state of Super Powers... Any how USA Wont be the Sole Super Power after 2 decades ...

Russia wants to promote CAR resources pipelines to Asia, not because they care for the Asian countries or the CARs, but because they want to keep those CAR resources out of Europe. Russia wants an exclusive monopoly on supplying gas and other resources to Europe, as a political leverage, so they want to divert CAR resources to Asia.

Of course, this suits the Asian customers just fine also. The only losers are the CAR suppliers, because their pool of customers is narrowed, reducing their profits.

I did earlier assert that Russia and Iran together control 50% of the worlds gas. This would enable them to control prices etc

I don't think Russia will eagerly bring closer to Pakistan as they haven't forget the past bitter memories with Pakistan during Afghans wars old days.

Russia pleased it is Pakistan who give up their relationship with US and come to Russia for help, that's funny. Pakistan doesn't have luxury strong economy that's impossible to purchase Russian defence equipments which is very high costs and repair maintenances.

Please note: Russia will not dump India because India will bring alot of benefits economic power needed to Russia.

If you see bilatral relationships as one nation replacing other, you are seriously mistaken. As a Pakistani, I dont mind Russia having relationships with anyone. It would be stupid to think Pakistan demanding Russia to dump India for having relationships with Pakistan, it doesn't work that way. Case in point, Russia-China-India, while Russia enjoyed warm relationships with both countries, it entertain each of these two exclusively rather than conditionally. Secondly, with ever changing global scene, if Russians would continue with the mentality of USSR, and Pakistan with Afghan War, there would be a deadlock, while in many cases both countries may have different or even conflicting interests, there are some places where the interests overalp. So if both maintain a deadlock, both may lose out to a third party. Case in point, Afghanistan and Central Asia. In all, rather than looking the PAK-RUS relationship from a narrow and restricted view, keep the broader picture in mind.

if you read my post, I also added some thing in the end ''vested interest'' . Russians touch wood have not and never spoke against and always supported India on many platforms unlike others, be it the 98 bomb test, N deal with US, and etc... This is what I like about Russia.

I made the point earlier as well that international finance doesn't work in an easy way. For all those countries (including Pakistan) who say that they can carry trade with Iran during restrictions, are just making political talks. Unless you make a barter trade with Iran, the currency based transactions would not be possible since all the major currencies i.e. USD,EUR,JPY,GBP would not clear the proceeds for Iranian accounts facing freeze. Be it Pakistani or Chinese, no bank would see itself losing money in the end. Its straight forward.
