Russia should stay away from Belarus. This isn't a good policy by Russia. Looks like Russian allies have no choice but to join nato.

well.....they were friends, literally...but i think Russia wanted a union with Belarus and Belarus seems to be either not wanting that more, or wanting more access/path into EU or/and NATO...and i dont think Russia trusts Lukashenko anymore...when Russia and Belarus couldnt continue their oil deal, i knew their relationship was starting to degrade...Belarus needs to watch itself....

Belarus isnt as pro Russia as you think....thats just how Belarus acts in public....in private, its obvious Belarus isnt as trustful of Russia as Russia would prefer... or for a stable relationship. Belarus looks like it wants to either enter EU or NATO...or be proxy of China...

NATO isnt a realistic option for Belarus...even if they want to join...Russia will still penetrate their long shared border if Belarus makes serious moves to join NATO...
