From Punjab. Well, I was born and raised in USA, so I don't know much about Pakistani girls but my first cousin who my parents wanted me to marry isn't well educated, doesn't know English, and wouldn't be happy here anyway. Now I am open to arranged marriage, but I'm not really optimistic about it since I don't believe in Islam and most Pakistani girls won't marry non-Muslims. Even though I don't believe in Islam, I still follow and believe in the good parts like no smoking/no drinking/no pre-marital sex, etc.

Knowing ‘English’ or ‘well educated’ cannot be a criteria to judge a girl. People marry for love and companionship. Anyway, I suggest you open up with your parents as soon as possible. It would be good for all the parties involved: you, your parents, the girl and her parents

Oh boy! You seriously under estimate the liberals and elite of Pakistan. Come and spend some time in here, visit places like LUMS, LSE, UCL, Gloria Jeans etc etc. You'll see some Pakistani chicks so "liberal" that they would put even an American or a Brit to shame.
