I myself have been to Russia several times and as someone who married a Russian who I met when I visited the first time and a university student I can attest to the surprised looks me and my wife recieved (my dark complexion and she being a Russian/White complexioned) however overtime I have noticed that major cities like Moscow and St. Petersburg are tending to be more multicultural (by Russian standards) because they are frequented by foreign tourists and here and there one can see interracial couples so overall the acceptance of non-Russians has been improving.

Cute Russian-African couple

Russian girls in Russia, would you marry a Black man?

The matter is not about race, it is always about human dignity and honor. As a Muslim, a Pakistani, a Pukhtun it has been ingrained in me to respect fellow human and to be dignified in my behavior toward anyone. Be it my fellow countryman, African, Hispanic, European, Middle Eastern, or Far Eastern. Even my enemy, even Indians. Because what it all boils down to is my faith, Islam and it teaches me to respect all creation of Allah. The only time I would respond with force, is when you threaten my faith.

The girl is not Russian she is from Caucasus so as many of interviewed girls. People often confuse Russian ethnicity with citizenship of Russian Federation. Classical Russian girls are the last ones in the interview (maybe Belorussians or Ukrainians - it does not matter).

Hmmm, interesting.

So Russian isn't a nationality? It is a race?

Russians are a mixed people generally speaking.

I find it strange that people are not picking what a 'Russian' is, as if there is a 'pure' Russian race

Russia and Turkey are both in that category Eurasian but Russia gets the pass for European due to them being Christian

So what I take from this is that Russians are kost easily identified by their historical Slavic identity. Then does that make them Polish because Poles are also Slavs, and so are many other.

Also Russians have mixed considerably over time anyway so there are no same Russians similar to the ones from maybe 300 years ago.
