China has nothing to do with Venezuela, Bolivia or Cuba. They aren't treaty allies or strategic partners. Kim IL Sung purged both pro Chinese and pro Russian factions in North Korea so nobody can blame China or Russia for North Korea's problems.

BTW where is pro US Philippines, Albania or Montenegro? All US treaty allies, 2 in the heart of Europe, EU and NATO members yet still poor AF.

Eastern bloc wasn't all Soviet allies ie Soviet bloc. China was not a Soviet ally, neither was Albania or Yugoslavia.

Indeed both Albania and former Yugoslavia suffer from residual fascism and ethnic nationalism from WW2, not socialism. They have zero socialism left but plenty of fascism - see Bosnia.

Why? They had democracy or pursued democracy. Their troops were trained and armed by US. Why they sucked at war? Is US a curse? Even Germany and Japan have lost their martial spirit after they became US' allies. So is US an exception? US won some wars anyways. No. US would not win any war if it loses technology advantages. If a war between US and China happens, US will lose because technology gap between the two countries is not big enough..

answer is simple...where ever the u.s. goes, it takes corruption & nepotism with it. which is why after seeing the results of american orchestrated democracy, even the those who were neutral or in favor end up turning against them. Case in point, the Taliban today control more of afghanistan than they did before 911, ya think the american puppets like karzai & ghani pissed of a million or two otherwise neutral or anti Taliban Afghans that ended up joining the Taliban?
