Beijing unveils detailed reform plan to make Shenzhen model city for China and the world

Becsuae of Shenzhen's status, and special status of Macau and HK. Zhuhai is a small city and simply do not have the economic and political influence of Shenzhen on the central government. Moreover, Xi Jing Ping's father was heavily involved in development plan of Shenzhen during Deng Xiao Ping's time.
Macau is across the river and they would need to absorbed Zhuhai as well with several other towns.

You forgot the Zhuhai Macau Hong Kong Bridge. Also integrated administration does not necessary mean that all the land have to be connected geographically.

Anyway, the suggestion that Shenzhen be integrated with Macau and Hongkong did not come from me, it is from the Chinese government. So it is pointless for me to keep answering your doubt.

SHANGHAI (Reuters): China’s State Council has called for greater development of the southern city of Shenzhen and the integration of its culture and economy with neighbouring Hong Kong and Macau.

The directive comes as anti-government protests in Hong Kong threaten the status of the Asian financial hub.

Seems more like a statement to keep HK calm if they add in Macau, if they just add in HK only the riots will get worst. At any rate Macau is more profitable as a gambling hub.

The world is not only the west, English is not a must for traveling, 150 million Chinese traveling overseas each year, most of them can't speak any English but it doesn't stop them having fun around the world.
We are talking about a model city for the world, meaning the world comes to China, not vice versa, chinese go abroad and seek new homes.

Model city means model of development, not foreign immigrations, some Korean and Japanese cities can also be regarded as model cities where cities from other countries can emulate, if ethnic diversity is the standard for model cities, all Latin American cities can be the top on the list and all East Asian cities will be at the bottom, but the truth is some of the best cities in the world are in East Asia.

Shenzhen may not be a world's cultural center, but it is, and will be, a world's model of technological advancement. No city in Germany can beat Shenzhen in that aspect.

If you want to define the richness and advancement of a city by its multi-cultureness, then go to any city in Sub-Saharan African or Latin America. These cities are samples of real melting pots, with people of hundreds different skin tones and tribes living together.

And all multi-cultural societies in Europe are dying and cannot be the model of future.

Shenzhen and Hong kong are already one city now, and Shenzhen has more land, population ,resources and GDP, it's got to be Shenzhen merging Hong kong.

Why comparing to Latin? you compare to other developed cities. Take Chicago, the is hundreds times more cosmopolitan than Shenzhen. Have you ever been there? I went twice there as expat. Wonderful in summer. You take lunch breaks in sunshine in parks. Listening to numerous music shows for free. On the way home, I usually stopped by Vietnamese and Chinese shops, buying Banh bao, roasted duck, chicken rice.
Can I do that in Shenzhen?
Probably not!
A chinese mob will run amok when detecting a foreigner.

If you go there, midst in the city,
worth to see: Chicago‘s Vietnam war memorial

These Vietnamese members here are very disrespectful with comment such as chinese mob. Why do the moderators allow such insult? I have also experienced attacks from these Vietnamese for no reason at all. This is why i have formed such a negative opinion of these liars. Many seem to be jealous of Chinese exemplary model that they feel the need to verbally attack it.

He (@Viet) is not Vietnamese and know almost nothing about both Vietnam and China, but he frequently give false information, based on his distorted and brainwashed mind. I cannot understand why mods have not banned him.

Maybe he has some special status and enjoy protection from the moderators so he could go unpunished insulting other people. Not just him, but Viva_Viet as well. I have noticed how they could repeat nonsense, spreading lies without consequence. I can only conclude he must be getting protection from the admins. Sad to see how this forum is run to be honest.

He ( @Viet ) is really Vietnamese. Although there are some insights that are different from those in the country, he always has a good affection for Vietnam's development, and he has a clear view on China's illegal occupation of Vietnam's islands, about China's ongoing conflict. You have some sympathetic views for Vietnam but do not offer any ideas about Vietnam's legitimate sovereignty over the two archipelagoes Hoang Sa and Truong Sa. You also have a surprising aversion to a highly sympathetic country in Vietnam like India. You are simply not Vietnamese.

That is because there are two type of overseas Vietnamese, one is from Communist Vietnam and the other one from pre 1975 S Vietnam. Going to assume the ones from the old S Vietnam has everything to hate about China since without China S Vietnam would have still exist.

The hatred has defintely blinded your eyes, you are out of your Fxxking mind.

He is German of Vietnamese descent, since his father fled to Germany when Saigon regime collapsed. That is what he claims, not my own. As far as most people can see here, he is 30-something. Therefore, he is of German nationality and not born in Vietnam, likely in Germany. Saying he is Vietnamese is like saying Donald Trump is German. He can even not read Vietnamese (this is my belief, because he seems to be very poorly informed about Vietnam and express his opinions based on emotion and distorted information from Western media rather than Vietnamese media news)
