Beijing think-tank links scrapping of Article 370 to LAC tensions

All that for this?

Don't b/s about standard "disclaimers". I can even present Pakistani sources for this, for this is a law in Pakistan.

Fact here is most Pakistanis don't even know, that Pakistan has been altering the demography of the state J&K since 1970s, by removing the state subject rule and allowing outsiders to settle in the state of J&K.

Pakistanis still cannot buy land there and Kashmiris have their own government as a semi autonomous but integral part of the federation.

You can hire any lawyer you want. You will be whipped back to stone age.

Chinese are on your door steps. Nepalese are shooting you dead and Bangladeshis can lock most of your cities down more effective than any novel virus.

Instead of choosing the glorious way of surrendering over a million men in Kashmir. Why not revert to basics of UN plebiscite for your own good so you may survive the decade in one piece.

The people of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB) have found loopholes in Pakistan’s reaction to India revoking Articles 370 and 35A of its constitution, underlining similar violations of Islamabad in the region. The locals in the Pakistan-administered territory, which is a part of the longstanding Kashmir dispute, noted that the State Subject Rule and special status that India has scrapped in Jammu & Kashmir (J&K) had been repealed in GB decades ago.

The locals emphasised that despite Pakistan’s outcry over India’s move on Kashmir, Islamabad revoked the State Subject Rule in 1974. Locals believe that India’s move could damage Pakistan’s position should a future referendum be held on Kashmir in accordance with the United Nations Security Council’s Resolution.

The Chairman of the Awami Action Committee (AAC) Sultan Raees believes the State Subject Rule shouldn’t have been abolished in India or Pakistan. “Pakistani leaders and their wrong policies gave India the opportunity to do the same thing that had been done in Pakistan in the 70s. You can’t ask India to undo its move, without resuming State Subject Rule in Pakistan,” he told 101Reporters.

He added that there are more people from other parts of Pakistan than locals in GB and that pushed India into preparing for the referendum.

Restore special status: Locals

Locals argue that for Pakistan to maintain its position over the Kashmir dispute it would need to reinstate the special status in Gilgit-Baltistan.

“The special status of GB was revoked even though we were attached to the Kashmir issue. The special status should be reinstated in both India and Pakistan. Locals are saying that Pakistan is crying for those areas that aren’t even in its control but has kept its own areas deprived [of rights],” said activist Shabir Husain, who is a part of the Gilgit Baltistan Awareness Forum (GBAF).

“We’ve planned programmes in GB, but given the turmoil with India, we don’t want to take any steps that might be interpreted as blackmailing Pakistan,” added Husain, who maintains that social media has created a lot of awareness among the locals, with the GBAF further reaching out to the masses to ensure that the rights movement continues to grow.

He stated that they don’t want to exploit the tension. However, they will continue to strive for their rights and raise the issue at an appropriate time.

Senge Hasnan Sering, the president of the Washington-based Institute for Gilgit-Baltistan Studies, believes India’s move in Jammu & Kashmir has provided the perfect excuse for the people of GB to highlight violations in the region.

“Pakistan’s regimes started State Subject Rule violations in the 1950s which hasn’t stopped since then. Today, the locals are on the verge of becoming a minority in cities like Gilgit, which is also the capital of the territory. In recent years, the influx of Pakistanis has been observed in Gahkuch, Diamer, Skardu and even in valleys along the Indian border like Ghanche. So the locals are pointing to Pakistan’s double standards of expecting India to uphold something they themselves violate in GB,” Sering told 101Reporters.

“People of GB have accepted that first, their territory is not a part of Pakistan, and secondly, it is linked with J&K. There is a fresh appeal to the political groups of AJK and GB to establish a unified platform and Pakistani establishment does not seem opposed to it,” he added.

Even though the local rights group maintains that it has no intention of clashing with the state or the establishment, especially since its struggle is for integration into Pakistan, many argue that resentment could boil over.

Sultan Raees said a major uprising, which could affect the CPEC, could take place in the region in a few months as the locals are unhappy.

Don't get hung up on the messenger or the messenger service. Can you still deny, that Pakistan has abolished the state subject rule and had unilaterally altered the demography of J&K by allowing outsiders to settle in the state of Jammu and Kashmir?

There can never be a free and fair plebiscite in Kashmir, because Pakistan allowed Pakistanis to settle in the state of Jammu and kashmir.

Beijing think-tank links scrapping of Article 370 to LAC tensions

India’s move changing status of J&K ‘challenged sovereignty of Pakistan and China’ says report

A report authored by a senior figure at an influential Chinese think-tank has linked the current tensions along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) to India’s move last year to abrogate Article 370 and change the status of Jammu and Kashmir, a decision that China had voiced opposition to.

The article, for the first time, described the move as a joint challenge to China and Pakistan, saying the move had “posed a challenge to the sovereignty of Pakistan and China”.

The report was shared on Friday on social media by a press officer at the Chinese Embassy in Islamabad, although it was first published on June 4 and has since been shared on several Chinese websites.

Status of Ladakh
“On the Chinese side, India opened up new territory on the map, incorporated part of the areas under the local jurisdiction of Xinjiang and Tibet into its Ladakh union territory,” it said. “This forced China into the Kashmir dispute, stimulated China and Pakistan to take counter-actions on the Kashmir issue, and dramatically increased the difficulty in resolving the border issue between China and India.”

The article was authored by Wang Shida, who is Deputy Director of the Institute of South Asian Studies at the China Institutes of Contemporary International Relations (CICIR). CICIR is a Beijing-based think-tank that is affiliated to the Ministry of State Security, China’s top intelligence body.

Mr. Wang noted that the Chinese Foreign Minister had conveyed China’s strong opposition to the move to External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar during his visit to Beijing last year, following the abrogation of Article 370 and the establishment of Ladakh as a union territory. The week before the August visit, Home Minister Amit Shah had spoken in Parliament about taking back Azad Kashmir (Azad Kashmir) and Aksai Chin.

Mr. Jaishankar conveyed to Beijing that the move was an entirely internal matter that did not impact India’s external boundaries or the LAC with China. China had opposed the Ladakh map for including Aksai Chin.

The article said the move had “posed a challenge to the sovereignty of Pakistan and China” and “made India-Pakistan relations and China-India relations more complex.” It noted that China had raised the issue at the United Nations Security Council.

U.S. role
The author hit out at what he called India's “double confidence” behind the move. The first, he said, was the 2019 election win that gave the Bharatiya Janata Party “unprecedented political confidence”. The second reason, he said, was that the “United States and some other Western countries puffed India up from an ideological point of view” to “hedge” against China.

“To this end,” he said, “India was seen as a favourite by the U.S., which not only drew India over to its side and praised India but also turned a blind eye to the excessive use of force and other misdeeds of the Indian authorities” in Kashmir.

“Regardless of how confident India is and no matter how good it feels about itself,” he concluded, “its attempts to forcibly seize territory are doomed to fail.”

As if we cares.
We love this chaotic democracy .
And we always like fun.
But our vibrant democracy has a strong foundation.
If anyone tries to change the sovreignity .We will reward them in kind.
In that case there is no politics or political drama.

Be it China or US .We dont care .As long as we have resouces manpower, talent and technology .
Nothing is impossible for us.

Its not rocket science.

India's unilateral decision to change demographics of disputed territories amounts to a legal war.

The question is if India can sustain her challenge to One China policy of Beijing.

India will take decision for unilateral changes of her territory .We will implement it .If somebody has some problem in obeying it we will make them obey .

living like prisoners ? LOL ....:D
Question is why indian parents kill their daughters before even they born. I have been told and I read in report which issued by UN. Report say parents kill their daughter before they are afraid if she born and grow up groom can ask expensive gifts on wedding. I mean car AC and fridge. so they do abortion. Is It not shameful?
