Chinese culture and Indian culture are as different as difference can be. Saying India controls the Chinese culture must be high on drinking too much cow's pee.
It is unbecoming of Indian Minister to use such undiplomatic and provocative language against China.
Of late we are seeing more and more brovados and superlatives coming from Mr. Modi's regime.
All politics is local...so the minister might be playing to the local gallery. However, such language and conduct is not going to help improve relations with the Dragon.
The Dragon is begnin and forgiving...but forgetting is not what the Dragon ever does.
Our Indian friends must choose constructive path and contribute to Asian Century.

China is quite open in gaining wisdom about life historically but pretty against and sensitive towards external political influence. In fact i remember a temple in China had an important ancient Buddhist monk from Sri Lanka buried in China when he passed in China so that future disciples can honour him in China.
The words of empty bravado by Rajnath Singh follows this trend of touting the narrative of Indian superiority for a domestic audience. I feel for those that actually believe his words. As a minister its quite irresponsible to mislead his people like this.
Instead of trying to build upon a positive point of a commonality he is fuelling this perspective that India is just the successor of British Imperialism. His words do not sound like anyone that values the legacy of Buddhism.
Buddism was created by the Nepali prince to be against the verdic believings. It spread first in present day India and SL,and through the Huns to the Far East, and through Burmese to the South East. Hinduism is also a breakaway religion that is based the hardcore of caste ideology. It‘s really shameful that present day Hindus claim credits on Buddism! And Modiji absurdly kowtows to Buddas wherever he visits. Buddism was a foreign religion in “India” and abandoned almost 800 years ago. Why can’t you be proud of heritage of Greeks, the central Asians, the Huns,Arabs, Mogols, and British?
