If we had tunneled vision we can't be where we are now. China is smart enough not to directly confront US until we are fully ready and US is totally declined, it won't happen soon and China and US will still enjoy each other's trade and money for a very very long time.

Take India-China for example. Why does China continue to antagonize India is beyond me! Why does China covet India's territory is beyond me. I mean if the area was resource rich or gave China's western regions access to the sea, I could understand the value of Arunachal Pradesh to China, but it offers none of that. Just more rugged, inhospitable land, which China already has plenty of! Yet China keeps needling India and pushing it further and further into the American camp.

China should take any competition seriously, not just from India. But the report falls into a common misunderstanding about Chinese economic success, which often gives credits to young population, vast market, etc. Doesn't Africa also have even younger population with almost same size as India?

May be the so called Chinese think tank is not as smart as you are. he should have consulted you before giving his advise.

Nope. China can't handle any one by herself, look at the developments from this year- not Vietnam, not the Philippines, not North Korea, not Japan and certainly not India. Any aggression on China's part is an open invitation to the good ol' US of A to hammer some democracy and freedom down China's throat. Maybe in the future when China's economy is not so dependent on the other countries of the world- Maybe then- but as of now and in the foreseeable future: no chance.
