Beijing effort to pull Vietnam away from the United States

crazy Vietnamese, if we aren't noble, last your offense to China could absolutely utilized by us to turn you a province... and we are not here trading with you, who you can count on to fortify your slumdog like economy? If you are a neighbor of US, do you think you still dare to bark like a doggy? New Mexico State was detached from Mexico which is as four or three times bigger than your paradise, go and embrace American, as*
Yeah yeah, "noble" as you are, when each year your merchants invent new tricks to mess with our economy, your coast guards leave the coast too far that they should become the protector of the ocean, protect all kind of fish from human harm by force. I could go on and on about how "noble" you are, domestically or internationally.

And you guys are the one who love comparing. What if, what if, etc... No, VN and China are neighbors, and unless one day the earth shatters, that fact won't change. Deal with it and its consequences.

China is becoming more expensive, look at their GDP per capita. Vietnam is cheaper (they will become more expensive in a few years, continuing the cycle). I think you as a Vietnamese should be happy that China outsources some jobs to you, as you're their neighbour, and it should be awesome to have a big, rich neighbour sharing wealth with you and investing in your country. In the end, China wants friendly neighbours, and will act accordingly. They have lots to gain from having a wealthy, stable neighbourhood. Don't think the US has that in mind for you, they only want to create a hostile region around China. So take your head out of your arse, and start seeing things for how they are. You're destined to be allies.

Exactly. Vietnam's economic growth & essentially its future are permanently tied to China. What they have to accept that is that China is just a car drive away off the border while the US are an ocean away.

Ask the Mexican if they are happy to be neighbor to US. Ask the Ukrainian if they are happy to be next door to Russia. See, each country next to a big nation all have some kinds of problem, regardless of which side of the globe they are on.

It's called political reality. A small country are forever pawn in a large country scheme. You don't have to like it, but you can find a way to take advantage of it.
